I've thought about this idea for a long time. I believe Aza will eventually develop and fully become a Yaujta. This transformation accelerated once Aza started living among them, gradually diminishing her human traits.
I also believe that Aza will become a significant figure once she fully transitions into a Yautja. I think historians will erase her human side and argue that she has always been a Yautja. Alternatively, maybe she was born with a defect but appeared to outgrow it.

A very venomous feline/reptile hybrid with a deadly bite and a poisonous tail that acts as a whip.
This is an AU version of my oc, her theme often between jaguar and snakes. So poof combine em both.
lol I challenge my friend to design a hybrid too. She came up with a bat/lion creature, it wicked awesome. @moonlightdeer739
Which I had drawn if anyone wants to check out. Lol I give my friend a simple prompt and she takes it as a runaway train XD

I've come up with an arctic predator creature, planning to have some Yautja hunt it down.
Behavior and attitude-wise, I was thinking in terms of orcas. The main idea I keep coming back to is that they can jump out of the water and slide across the ice. In other cases, they can smash the ice with their big head. I think it would be cool to see their sail cutting through the ice.
For the sail and tail fins, they can dazzle in the sunlight. So when they perch on the ice, they can show off as either a show of dominance or a mating display.

Yautja OC :: Sol'veig
Tumblr media
Hallo, hallo,, first post for redoing this account since it's old, and I've finally managed to make my Yautja OC :00 This one was a pain to draw with how busy and ass I am with time management, more so to even draw anything with my artblock..
Meet Sol'veig, she's a pretty strange and odd female Yautja due to her unknown genetics, being born and found with weird physical and mental traits. She was much more quiet and less sociable than others even growing up, and she also specializes in tech, being formidable when it comes to handling heavy back-up with her strength and intelligence. Among all her adopted siblings when a Matriarch had taken her in, she was the youngest, yet the tallest out of all of them. Due to her markings and behaviour, most Yautjas would label her as a curse from Cetanu, while others on the other hand, specifically those who trust her, look up to her guidance and protection. She's been through a lot, fighting with her own demons and battles alone.
This is a small snippet of her lore, or at least what I can make of yet-- I'm not really good with character lores or designs (Yautjas are a PAIN in the ass to draw after all), and Sol'veig was pretty much hard to design. I had so many redos and you can tell how much my style started going downhill with the details. I doubt I'll be able to draw her the same.. I may add some changes to her design or lore soon if ever I go deeper, or have different variants, but overall, I think she's pretty neat and I gotta love my oddly endearing Yautja ^^
I may start making more Yautja ocs for the fun of it to feed my hyperfixation and so I can draw more to get rid of my art block.. Hope you guys like her =]]

Part 5
Hiya! This has been on my mind for the last couple of days, and I wanna share it with ya.
This involves Aza’s love life.
To start, Aza had a mate on Earth, with whom she had two healthy sons. She remained loyal and stayed by her husband's side until his death from old age. Because of her exposure to Yautja blood, she effectively became immortal compared to cavemen. Aza stayed with her family for a long time, but as she outlived them, she decided to move on to avoid heartbreak.
Afterward, Aza never found another mate and chose not to settle down with anyone, knowing she would outlive them. She had occasional flings, which sometimes resulted in children. She stays with each clan until the child is old enough to be independent. Then, Aza moves on with her life.
That’s how her life was on Earth.
When Aza left for space, she was pursued by hunters–one of em she had developed a sort of crush. This hunter also became intrigued, and their attachment grew as they continued their cat-and-mouse game. Eventually, and fortunately, this hunter caught Aza. Ironically, both the hunter and Aza were disappointed because their game had ended.
This Hunter, named Ruvur, is a noble Yautja male descended from a pure bloodline of legendary hunters and leaders.
For some reason, Ruvur stayed nearby while Aza was on trial. He remained to ensure his trophy stayed alive. There were a few shady guards who intended to kill Aza—possibly on the orders of a councilman. Ruvur was kind enough to provide Aza with food and water during her captivity.
Although Ruvur was the one who kicked Aza off the ship, causing her to go into free fall onto the planet, his later explanation was that his father had done the same to him on his Chiva. Aza called bullshit when it was stated it was for good luck. Rattle thought it was funny.
After Aza finished her Chiva and joined Rattle’s clan, which happened to be Ruvur’s rival (though not intensely fierce), Ruvur invited Aza to join his own clan. However, Rattle convinced her to stay, mainly because he was biased and wanted to return to his clan.
Ruvur left Aza to adjust to her new clan, giving her space as he didn’t want his presence to influence opinions. Aza felt disappointed; she hoped he would stick around. Instead, he only returned when Aza’s reputation had grown, which was like a couple of years later.
It was definitely a surprise visit—Aza had just returned from a hunt when she found Ruvur lounging in her living room. This will become the usual for him, as he will be coming and going randomly. When he does appear, he brings gifts such as the finest furs, worthy trophies, and exotic foods.
She doesn’t mind much of his comings and goings — it's a concept she has to accept. Ruvur, as a Yautja male, is always hunting and seeking the next challenge. Aza knows she can’t tie him down, although she wishes she could. Still, she welcomes his company and feels special that Ruvur makes himself at home whenever he visits.
Since the Yautja don’t typically settle down or raise families, it was puzzling why Ruvur felt such a strong attachment to Aza that he visits whenever he can. Still, Aza feels a bit hollow when Ruvur leaves, and during his absence, she worries he might not return. It's always a great joy when he returns.
The best part is that whenever Aza goes on a hunt—whether on Yautja Prime or another planet–she somehow encounters him. This frequently leads to them hunting each other–their way of flirting and reliving the year they spent with Ruvur hunting Aza. Which leads to spicy moments~ (Their relationship began after Aza earned her respected standing in her clan.)
Though it was a surprise (or maybe not) when Aza discovered she was pregnant, she didn’t think it was possible.
Aza, no stranger to bearing children, didn’t freak out but she was overjoyed to have a child. She excitedly shared the news with Ruvur, who was currently on a hunt at that time. In a typically male fashion, he expressed his pride and expected their pup to be strong. However, Aza was disappointed when Ruvur didn’t come rushing home.
Honestly, it hurt her—the human part of her. Family ties, social gatherings, and closeness are deeply rooted in her, and not having that made Aza feel depressed. She craved that human connection.
But as always, Aza endured it…until she couldn’t.
Her entire pregnancy went smoothly, with no issues until the late stages. Aza experienced overwhelming stress and anxiety–Yautja females usually give birth alone, except for close female friends. At this point, Aza did have a few female friends, but it wasn’t enough for her. She needed Ruvur’s presence to support her.
Rattle warned her that a Yautja male won’t be present during childbirth—Rattle doesn’t count, as he had no choice, being essentially a spiritual being.
Thankfully and surprisingly, when Aza called Ruvur to come home, he actually arrived and was present for their daughter’s birth. Unfortunately, it was a very difficult delivery, with fears she might die–thankfully she didn’t, but she was very weak afterwards.
It's safe to say Ruvur gained a newfound respect, and it was a life-changing experience for him. As a male who had never witnessed childbirth and holding his newborn daughter was profound.
For Aza’s sake, Ruvur stayed close to protect her, knowing that giving birth to their daughter took a lot from her. Additionally, Ruvur was simply fascinated and honored to be allowed this close to his tiny, squishy baby–marveling at how fragile and precious she is.
Aza is happy to have him around–I imagine they will have more children later. Ruvur remained present when Aza was pregnant again. It was an interesting experience. Although Ruvur is more involved now, he occasionally goes on hunts. His trips are shorter because he doesn't want to miss out on his growing family’s life. However, he does take some of the kids with him on hunting trips.
I’ll go into more details in another post since it involves a civil war between Ruvur and Aza’s clans. The last thing I’ll say is that I imagine Ruvur and Aza will grow old together.
(Decided to go with this dude's design; I had around for a while. lol)

Part 4
Last time in my previous post, Aza and Rattle ventured off into space, into the unknown.
I have a couple of ideas, but I’m not too set on them, so it might change later down the line. At least some adjustments, or so.
Let me start with the Yautja society of this time. I imagine they haven’t fully established their strict honor code yet; there are hints of it, but it is not strictly followed. So, at this point, anything goes, and maybe there is a little disorder, kind of like the strongest leads situation. Not to mention, they’re overly cocky, assuming nothing can beat them—especially with their fancy gear—which, of course, isn’t fully advanced yet.
Hehehe, so imagine their shock when the so-called primitive creature managed to kill two Yautja (technically three if you count Rattle) and hijack their ship. And now it’s joyriding across space—a freaking ape! Major blow to their ego, that’s for sure. Lol
The high council was losing their mind and are barking their engineers to work double time in improving their tech. This was revenge for Rattle, getting back at his people for abandoning him to rot with the primitive apes–Aza isn’t amused.
Somehow for a year, Rattle and Aza managed to evade Yautja society that is determined to hunt them down. Just barely avoiding being captured, which led to mixed feelings. Anger that an ape has evaded them for this long, but thrill for the challenge of the hunt. It's a mixed bag that’s for sure–especially when Aza is wanted dead or alive. So it depends on who captures her in the end.
Fortunately, the hunting party that captured Aza and Rattle kept them alive and brought them back to Yaujta Prime for council judgment. This leads to a lengthy debate about Aza's fate. Luckily, most votes favored her survival, but her fate depends on whether she can pass the final test—the Chiva.
If it means Aza can live in peace after, she’ll do the Chiva.
Unfortunately, the council didn’t make things easy–some intended to kill her, while others merely found the idea amusing. But Aza wasn’t given any preparation time; essentially, she was thrown off a ship and onto a hostile world. The reasoning was that since Aza had evaded the Yautja and survived so far, there was no need for further prep. Naturally, this angered Aza, but Rattle relished the challenge.
Over the next few weeks, Aza remains on the planet, surviving in the wild by hunting and taming wildlife. She wonders how much longer she'll be stranded there. One day, the sky begins to break apart as a rain of meteors crashes into the planet, triggering natural disasters. Through sheer luck, she survives—having fallen into a cave and becoming trapped. It takes a long time to find her way out.
Her problems only just began, as that meteor shower seemingly brought parasites–the Xenomorphs. During her time trapped in the cave, the Xenomorphs had seized much of the planet. (I like to think this was the Yautja's first encounter with Xenomorphs, making it an exciting time for them.) But it wasn't so great for Aza, who found herself amidst the chaos. She narrowly escaped being incinerated by acid on several occasions. Aza defended herself with a Xeno’s blade tail, knowing it wouldn't be burned by the acid blood. (She did consider taming one, but there was too much going on to really try—though I imagine she might attempt it later.)
Aza believed she was doomed, but she encountered a hunting party rushing out to pursue the new prey. It was a disaster— not everyone survived, and Aza had to crawl onto the ship to escape the doomed planet.
It's safe to say that Aza had proven her worth and was allowed to live, but she was somewhat sidelined as the new craze centered on the Xenomorphs. She was okay with that—Aza continued on her way, and, following Rattle’s advice, she asked to join Rattle’s clan. Fortunately, she was granted access, though there was still some uncertainty and suspicion, as Aza remains considered a freak.
However, Aza has many years of experience being part of a clan, tribe, or colony from her extensive travels across Earth. She has encountered a wide range of personalities and customs, making her confident in her ability to be a part of this clan. Aza is more determined than ever to earn acceptance, as this will be a lasting commitment. She no longer needs to worry about outliving anyone.
So in the classic montage of a human befriending, Aza met and befriended a couple of Yautja that networked their way to other members. Aza shows her skills and determination, but most importantly, her compassion and empathy. She offers help to members of the clan who are considered weak and burdensome. Aza finds ways to reveal their true value, which eventually benefits the clan.
I like to imagine Aza discovered an orphaned Yautja male, a frightened and fragile little guy. Everyone had basically abandoned him, thinking it was a waste of time and resources to train him—he'd eventually die anyway. But he was determined to become a hunter. Aza saw him as an unrefined gem, unaware of his true talents and strengths. She decided to take him under her wing and train him properly. Initially, he refused, but eventually, he relented—mainly because of a bet he lost.
Since then, significant progress has been made in a short period, drawing attention—particularly from a few teens who previously felt unlikely to succeed. Aza couldn’t refuse them and ended up acting as a maternal figure for these teens. (She being a mother duck. Lol)
There was still skepticism about their chances of survival. However, when it was their time to shine, they proved the skeptics wrong and earned the most trophies during their Chiva.
After this, Aza began to be genuinely accepted into the clan. Though there were some challenges along the way, Aza faced them without hesitation, welcoming the struggles and difficulties. Fortunately, she has that resilient mindset, which becomes evident as subsequent events unfold. Drama is inevitable after all.
Few of existence include a possible civil war, the start of the honor code, and a potential war with other species. There are new developments regarding the Xenomorph—where Aza attempts to tame one of them. She succeeded—after many tries and narrowly avoiding being stabbed.
To name a few, overall, Aza is integrating into Yautja society well.

Part 3
Hello, I’ve come back to discuss in more detail the ending where Aza essentially hunts down the Yautja.
Before I begin, I want to note that prehistoric human lifespans were very short, around 30-35 years—though some lived up to 50-60 years, but that was rare. I mention this because Aza drank Yautja blood and is now soul-bound to one, which has extended her lifespan beyond normal.
After Aza awoke from her spiritual journey, her body evolved, and her urge to hunt awakened—especially with Rattle encouraging her. She now felt a surge of excitement for hunting, something she hadn't experienced before, as it was tied to survival. Over time, hunting became more than just survival; it became a thrilling activity for her. Still, she learned to balance hunting with taming animals.
Speaking of animals, Skyker, after going through the trials with Aza, also mutated and evolved similarly to Aza. The same goes for the sabertooth cub that Aza adopted; the cub ate some of Rattle’s steaks, lol. The kitty’s name is Fluffy, and he's a good boy.
Years pass by, and surprisingly for Aza, it feels like they went by quickly. She hasn’t aged much, but her friends and family have. Aza fell in love and had two sons, but before she knew it, she outlived them and now helps care for her great-grandchildren. Her world is changing once more, and it is heartbreaking for her.
For a long time, Aza was tempted to explore beyond the tribe’s territory to find new challenges, feeling bored and restless after hunting and taming everything nearby. However, she resisted this urge—and Rattle’s constant nagging—to stay with her family.
But now Aza begins to feel like a stranger within her tribe; everyone she once knew has been replaced by a new generation. Aza no longer feels like she belongs, so she decided to leave.
With nothing to hold her back, Aza and her two companions–Skyker and Fluffy—ventured into the unknown. They explored prehistoric Earth, hunted and tamed exotic animals, encountered new dangers, and interacted with new people. It was a rewarding experience.
Occasionally, Aza settles with a clan because she needs to socialize and feel a sense of belonging. However, she doesn’t stay long, as she prefers to remember them in their youth—full of life and energy—rather than as old and fragile with death knocking. Aza prefers to cherish memories rather than endure the pain of watching loved ones grow old and fade away.
Time passes again, and Aza finds herself bored and restless—her soul feels ancient yet she has boundless energy. It’s conflicting at times. Rattle has to help Aza through her midlife crisis—or whatever you'd call it? A sort of life crisis, I guess, lol.
Anyway, Aza renewed her spirit when she found and fought off a pair of Yautja. The challenge invigorated her, making her blood pump with excitement. It was a close call, but with Rattle and Aza’s combined experience, they managed to overcome the two Yautja. Skyker and Fluffy sat on the sidelines.
After the rush, Aza faces another life-changing moment: the prospect of leaving Earth.
Aza immenditally said no; she couldn’t leave her home. However, after much debate and Rattle’s convincing, she began to consider her feelings—specifically the boredom and restlessness. Aza had reached her peak. It was clear she needed to move on.
The idea initially scared her, and she resisted. But recalling her spiritual journey and the challenges faced on Yauja Prime, where death was ever-present, she oddly found the experience exhilarating. Rattle made a valid point: Aza had outgrown her home, and the only option was to move forward.
After some hesitation, Aza boarded the ship, allowing Rattle to take the helm as they departed the planet. For the first time, she saw Earth from orbit—stunning and moving her to tears. Part of her wanted to return home, but she had come this far and saw no reason to turn back.
Off into the unknown again.

Part 2
Revisiting the idea of Aza going on a spiritual journey: Aza is transported to Yaujta Prime, where instead of a spiritual owl guide, she encounters god. Paya is intrigued and amused by the small creature that successfully conquered her warrior, and is now attempting to conquer the same warrior’s soul. Paya welcomes this challenge, finding the concept exciting and eager to see how the hunt unfolds. However, Paya warns Aza that if she fails in her conquest, Cetanu will be there to claim her soul.
Rightfully so, Aza is scared shitless.
Especially when everything she knows is turned upside down: the terrain is different, the animals are different, the stars are different, and, for fuck's sake, there is a second sun! Worse still, Cetanu lurks in the shadows, stalking her every move and waiting for her to die.
So understandable, Aza is under a lot of stress–thankfully, her trusted companion. (Deciding to add this because I remembered beast masters could tame eagles. But this isn't a normal eagle seen in the game; it's the Haast's eagle–abnormally large, legendary status. Think of it as the equivalent to the Sabertooth Bloodfang. Before I ramble on too long, I also want to mention that Aza is small enough to ride this bird. The bird is Aza’s biggest achievement—Rattle comes second, and the guy is jealous. He'll try to persuade Aza that she faced literal god and death to conquer Rattle. But Aza will say nope, big bird is the ultimate prize. Ramble over, lol.) By the way, the bird’s name is Skyker.
Where was I? Oh, yes, death was literally stalking her as Aza moves through the spiritual realm of Yautja Prime.
So I imagine Aza will face trials to overcome harsh environments and possibly test her limits as a beast master in taming alien animals. I like to think Cetanu is secretly testing Aza and pushing her to her limits. Aza, however, is not a fan of that. But with a strong will to survive and stubbornness, Aza keeps moving forward.
Aza eventually locates Rattle and gets her ass kicked–repeatedly getting knock down. But Aza keeps getting up–using any advantage and trying a variety of animals in her attempts. Despite her best attempts, Aza was on the verge of losing, and Cetanu was close to seizing her. Until Rattle openly mocks Aza for relying on animals in her fight, dismissing her as a genuine warrior.
That enraged her—she stood up confidently and declared, “I am a beast master! I conquer beasts–they are an extension of myself! Their spirit fuels my fire, their eyes, claws, and fangs are my own, and if you can’t accept that, you are not a worthy warrior to face me!”
In a spiritual manner, Aza and Skyker unite as one to defeat Rattle.
After Rattle accepts defeat and recognizes Aza as the warrior she truly is, Paya appears to congratulate them on the hunt, with Cetanu giving a nod of approval. As a reward, Aza and Rattle’s souls merge into one, and Aza leaves the spiritual world with Rattle accompanying her.
Upon waking up, Aza feels like a giant bruise and proceeds to rest for a couple of days. Rattle nagging her to get off her ass and go hunt something.
Inspired by Predator: Killer of Killers, I decided to revisit this relic from 2022. It was during the time I was playing Far Cry Primal (an awesome game by the way), I had a plot and images I wanted to illustrate. However, life became busy, and I had to set this aside, slowly forgetting about it. lol
The main idea is that Rattle came to prehistoric Earth to hunt the large mammals that roamed there. Aza is a young woman training to become a beast master.
She and her tribe went on a hunt to kill some hyenas, aiming to reduce their population in the area. Rattle watched their hunt and admitted he was impressed by their skills. (At this time, the Yautja didn’t see humans as a threat, considering them clueless apes and believing the species wouldn’t survive). Rattle decides to humor them–proving to be his final mistake.
Though the hunting party proved to be a challenge, they were still no match for Rattle. However, Aza, being the last survivor, lured the predator to a saber-tooth’s den. There, Rattle and the large feline faced off, with Aza allowing the two predators to maul each other. When she saw an opening, she lunged forward, spearing Rattle through the throat and killing him.
Regarding the sabertooth, she sustained fatal injuries and died, but Aza adopted the saber’s cub. Aza hauled Rattle’s corpse back to the tribe to bring back proof and deliver the news of the hunting party. Although it was a significant loss, it also presented a valuable opportunity. The shaman prepared a mixture to capture this unknown monstrous creature’s spirit and encouraged Aza to drink predator’s blood.
Aza falls into a weeks-long coma as she embarks on a spiritual journey to tame Rattle’s spirit. Once she succeeds, they become one. The pair coexist by sharing one body–shenanigans will eventually follow. But that’s not the only thing; after Aza wakes up from her coma, she notices a few changes. Over time, Aza develops mutations, transforming into a hybrid of some sort.
Side note, Ave had fastened and equipped Rattle’s gear to fit her, using his bones to carve out weapons and equipment. She used his skull as a helmet and his skin as a blanket. Rattle has very strong mixed feelings about this.
Regarding the Yautja, they found it hilarious that Rattle had been defeated by these primal apes and believed he deserved to be left to rot. They didn’t care much about Rattle’s gear, assuming the apes would accidentally destroy themselves. Rattle was aware of all this through his gear, and bitterness, shame, and anger drove him. Years later, when Ave had fully evolved, she would make her presence known as she hunted down the Yautja.
