Pictures from January 28th park day. We had some exciting battles that day in addition to jugging (See my last post for pics of that!) Plus, a massive greatsword came to play.

January 28th park day brought jugging! Jugging is a fast paced sport-like team game. There are set positions and specific roles for each position. The goal is to score points by placing a ball called the “dog skull” into an opponents goal.

An epic quest came to Dragons Forge on our January 14th park day. Our adventurers were able successfully track down the cultists and stop them before they could summon a demon horde and destroy everything.

Fantastic ditching at our January 14th park day. We had the privilege to fight with Sir Derek Roth, a sword knight.

Finally completed this set of Ranger/Scout armor. So many scales! Just in time for the All Hallowed Eve event of Mythic Adventures LARP.

“Where now are the horse and the rider? Where is the horn that was blowing? Where is the helm and the hauberk, and the bright hair flowing? Where is the harp on the harpstring, and the red fire glowing? Where is the spring and the harvest and the tall corn growing? They have passed like rain on the mountain, like a wind in the meadow; The days have gone down in the West behind the hills into shadow. Who shall gather the smoke of the deadwood burning, Or behold the flowing years from the Sea returning?” ~ Tolkien
It is good to lament for that which is lost. But do not let it cloud your vision of the future.
Where now are our photographers you may ask? It’s always fun to get them in front of the camera too! Here is @emory leading the boar’s head into battle.

I bought a new bow at Timeline festival in Ballarat and I’m kind of in love with it.
It was made by Outback Snoopy Custom Archery Bows and I think it’s beautiful. I’ll do a full review of it soon!

There are parts of my Larp Costumes that people never see, armour and overcoat cover it all. The grimy shirt has one purpose only: To protect my undershirts from the scalemaille mesh. The black dirt is from the armor, and I do not bother with cleaning it off every time, since it gets like this as soon as I wear the scalemaille. Only the collar, sleeves and lower hems can be seen beneath the armor.
The linen undershirt is my most recent one, and it uses a new base pattern I made. Collar, sleeves and hem will peek out under most outer layers, so I added some embroidery to them.

After a glorious day of treasure hunting, many adventurers greatly increased their ever-growing wealth. Interruptions from greedy goblins did little to slow down the intrepid heroes. They managed to recover all the lost gold, as well as some mysterious orbs. Many thanks to those who participated!

So this weekend Otter Boy and I made a RIGHTEOUSLY beautiful foam sword for my LARP character Pinecone. Ft. her name symbol, a “brass” peacock feather, a copper pinecone pommel, real feather “wings” and my fav part–the secret flower medallion inside the hand guard.
