Mabel. SHOOTING STAR. A meteor. No fixed point. Maybe a known trajectory. Either passes the planet by or risks the potential of causing great harm.

But also a wish. Dreams come true. A moment to believe in anything.

Dipper’s birthmark. The Big Dipper. Which points to THE NORTH STAR. The most STEADY and STATIONARY point in our sky. Distant, but you can count on where it is.

But he’s actually a Pine Tree. Still steady and stationary, but not nearly as distant. Easy to get back to, and much more connected to the life around him than a star is to any planet.

Idk why this is making me have feelings. Maybe it has something to do with Ford asking Dipper to stay in the falls and how that led to wierdmagedden as Mabel tried to hold on to summertime, and hold on to her brother.
