Raise up your Bat Analysis!

Very very major chapter 3 and 4 spoilers up ahead

Deltarune Raise up your Bat analysis

So I noticed how some lyrics in the Raise up your Bat song sounded familiar. Looking through them I can draw some connections to future events later in chapter 3 and in 4. The first two are eh stretches but the rest fit way nicer

*When the demon heart is crying*

This one I'm unsure about. It could connect to the soul. The player could be seen as the demon, especially in the weird route, but in pacifist, to Kris, we could be like a demon controlling them. Also links to some theory I saw a while back that Kris summoned the player to take over their soul with Catti. Since it's mentioned they tried summoning demons together. Crying idk right now

*And the blood is gushing bright*

Another one I'm unsure about, you could consider the soul as the blood, and how in chapter 4 it literally glows multiple times. The main one I'm gonna focus on is the time when it glows to fight off the knight

*Raise up your bat for the burning fight*

(Will gather concrete evidence later, right now going off memory) The Knight's weapon, when we first seem them looks like a bat before becoming a blade, to me at least. It can be connected as the knight is most definetly a Holiday family member. I believe them to be Mayor Carol, but theres also the chance of it being Dess. Dess uses a baseball bat, its even mentioned shed use it to beat up Kris. And the burning fight being, well the knight fight

*When your hope is slowly dying*

This can connect to many spots. The Knight interactions, a ton of chapter 4 in general, but the main two I think of is the initial Knight fight, a fight that the main cast was confident they could beat(at least susie), but in the end get wiped >!even with the shadow mantle in the end!<. But the other knight times. Fighting against them when the soul grows to lead the gang, it's gaining hope, but also loosing due to the struggle. And when the titan is made, that's when so much hope is lost, especially by Ralsei and iirc Susie.

*And your future's lost its rights*

This one could be a stretch but I think this is talking about the Prophecy. Or the prophecies depending on how you see it. They are dictated. No changing them it seems from any angle. And with the bad prophecy Susie broke, the one Ralsei didn't want her to see, it feels like something has now been taken away. The right to choose, the right of freedom, it's all set in stone, no matter what you do

These two follow the previous examples, fright being the Knight, titan, etc. Knock em is just a Let's fight type line.

The chorus is when I actually started realizing this and analyzing

*Come follow me into the dark*

*With your heart as the ark*

*Which shall shine you the way*

*Because I'm with you in the dark*

These 4 lines instantly reminded me of the chapter 4 scene where the gang is guided by the souls light to make it to the knight as they're bombarded with swords. They go into the dark, literally and metaphorically as this place seems hopeless, sometimes described as the dark. The soul is literally the ark! The "ship" that guides them through the dark as it shines the way. ITS THE EXACT SCENE??

The knight sent down swords in waves in which the heart/soul guides them through. This also connects to the water thing that's kinda being established? But we don't know like anything about it so gonna just kinda ignore that for now

Gonna rant a bit here. I'm so pissed at the people getting mad at the idea of Hunter Schafer being cased for Zelda. SHE LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE HER! She is the most PERFECT casting EVER. And don't even come whine about how ooh that's a man not a woman. Firstly, fuck off, it's her decision, stop crying to control her body. Do you want to be forced to become a different gender? No? Then dont do it to her. Secondly, why does it even matter if she's a bio male? She's not gonna be pulling her pants down and showing off a penis to everyone, she's not going to do anything that would make it matter, since it doesn't.
