old drawings and sketches from January 2024(?) for my fic Suneater! the conceit was that these are photos Cass takes when the Kents come to visit over December break.

some of these I finished and some I gave up on, but ultimately i'd have to redo all of them if I wanted them to fit in the fic now. My design for Kon has completely changed (for the better--also he's missing his glasses here) and Jason looks different now too. i love the backgrounds in here though and some of the poses are fun :)

It seems that Cassandra Cain's current Batgirl ongoing will continue for another year!

It's very funny how I was talking about people criticizing it the other day and it'll still be going strong into 2026. 😭

Bruce and David's fighting to be Cass' father is really the most insane custody battle of the millenium, if not history. They are like the two women that ask Solomon to pick which one of them is the mother of the baby, but instead of simply asking for his judgment, they ask for him to watch them fight and pick a winner, and then start beating the shit out of each other.

I'm still of the opinion Cassandra is the kind of person who gets far too emotional while watching movies. Like, kicked out of theaters for crying too loud at Greatest Showman level bad. Had to sleep in the same room as Barbara for a month after watching The Shining level bad. She's got twenty years worth of unprocessed emotions to sort through and movies help put a face and a voice to them.

DCeased Unkilliables is just HOLY SHIT. Like there were so many emotions, the way the heroes left and the villains stayed, Shiva and Cass, Slade and Rose, Wonder Woman being an absolute monster (positive), Cheetah being a "good kitty," and freaking Mary Shazam!!! I loved this so much, it's definitely one of my favourite stories.

The only thing I properly side eyed was Cass and Jason's strange reactions to the deaths of their loved ones (especially Babs for Cass), but I get that they didn't really have time to linger on that. Also the fact they went three months after Mirror Master disappeared just... keeping all the mirrors up, like, y'all 😭

Some of the criticisms of the Batgirl book are really getting to me, like OK too much Shiva, whatever, but seeing people say Cass has no agency in the book is the dumbest shit I've ever heard, she has tons of fucking agency in the book.

I swear, I think some Cass fans DESERVE to see her go back in limbo, y'all genuinely have no fucking idea how great it is for Cass to not have only one but TWO ongoing books rn with being written by people who genuinely respect her!
