hoping and praying that eddie's sitting down in captain morales' office to discuss the lifting of the hiring freeze when he gets the call about bobby, like morales just steps out of the room to grab some paperwork and eddie checks his phone and sees multiple missed calls from an unfamiliar LA number (I'm envisioning the call coming from josh bc everyone else is an incoherent mess after the experience they've just had), close-up on his big teary cow eyes as he hears the news and maybe can hear buck sobbing in the background, morales comes bustling back in just in time to catch eddie on his way out, 'I'm really sorry, sir, I have to get back to LA, my partner needs me', once he's sprinted away morales sits down and sighs and mutters 'single my ass'

The script leaks could be fake but if they’re real it’s Maddie’s coma dream. Because Maddie is getting the call that he’s underground and *alive*. It makes more sense bc if it was anyone at the 118 Evan would be at the front of Bobby’s funeral and Maddie isn’t in the lineup of ppl who are at the funeral. So I think she’s going to be on the outside looking in unable to do anything about the boy she raised grieving someone whose being buried alive and she won’t be able to save Bobby. It kind of goes with her overall arc this season of feeling helpless when her job is helping people. May the Bobby isn’t dead tribunal review my statement.

Every ship I’m fixated on gets a Hadestown au bc I’ve been fixated on Hadestown for too long. Anywhosie buddie is about to be canon after a 7 year slow burn and personally 5 years of waiting so here’s my buddie hadestown au but with a lot more thought cause it’s all I’ve thought about while on concussion leave

Eddie is Eurydice because everything Buck does Buck does to protect him he’s what Buck lives for. He also doesn’t necessarily see good in humanity like Buck does.

Buck is Orpheus because he sees the good in the world and thinks that if he works hard enough he can change the world for the better. Plus he has twice saved Eddie from dying and I feel like he would always look back to make sure Eddie was okay.

Maddy is Hermes because she’s been in the trenches of watching them in love. All she wants is to see the kid she raised happy but she knows she can’t interfere with the narrative.

The fates are only one, Christopher. Just like the fates are always the main thing in Eurydices head, Christopher is the main thing in Eddies head and I bet because of how wrong Eddies past girlfriends have gone at first Chris would try to stop Buddie from happening.

Bobby is Hades because he sees bits of his own love story within Buck and Eddie’s. He also sees himself in Buck but he still wants to test Buck and see if he is strong enough to be in love.

Athena is Persephone because Bobby would move heaven and earth for her
