I think that it's just that Wally (Wall-E) is considered traditionally a mens name while Eve is traditionally a womans name so people just assume that wall-e is male and Eve is female even though they are robots with no concept of sex or gender whatseover and probably don't give a fuck.

Do they ever say that Wall-e is a boy and Eve is a girl or did we all just get sucked into the void of heteronormativity

What I don’t get about the ‘resources’ argument is, how exactly do asexuals waste LGBT resources if we don’t need them? If being ace won’t get you kicked out of your home, you won’t need housing. If being ace won’t get you fired, you won’t need the financial backup. If being ace doesn’t put you at physical risk, you won’t need the protective services that the LGBT community can muster.

If, on the other hand, being ace does cause you to deal with any of the above, then the resources aren’t being ‘wasted’ – they’re going toward the safety and well-being of somebody who’s being punished for not being straight. Isn’t that the point of those resources to begin with?

I’m honestly confused how this argument even works. The only way it makes sense is if we’re walking up to a community that we have zero need of, and they’re just going ‘okey-dokey! 8D’ and handing us shit we clearly don’t need. Is that what y’all are trying to say? I’m honestly curious.

Yeah i don’t really get it either? Like he hasn’t shown any romantic interest in her whatsoever, they’re clearly pretty close friends, and he doesn’t seem unhappy with that fact at all? Like I hate when people act like this when a male and female character are just friends, as if she owes him something more and he actually want’s something more, why can’t they just be friends?  It just makes me feel like how I’m treated whenever I make friends with a guy, I get teased about it relentlessly and if I say I only think of him as a friend, they say how cruel I am for friendzoning him, but he isn’t interested in me as anything more than a friend either. It’s honestly so ridiculous and stupid. Men and women can be just friends, and even if I kind of like the idea of them too, I don’t think they’re canonly anything more than close friends. D.va cares more about keeping her city and her country safe, she doesn’t even seem to care about the fame it’s earned her, I doubt she cares very much about romance right now either with how she’s seemed to dedicate her entire life to this cause. 

What’s with all the jokes about D.Va friendzoning her companion? I don’t recall him hitting on her or having romantic feelings in the first place. I see these jokes all over reddit and youtube. On a surface level, I get why, but it’s still a boring, cliched joke that doesn’t work.

So like I never play soldier, but my friend and I were practicing in quickplay and this pharah was giving our team so much trouble, and I was the only healer but I couldn’t do anything without her owning my ass. So I switched to Soldier since he can sort of heal, and I could try dealing with her myself.  Not only did I kill her multiple times, one of those times was with helix rockets. For my first time playing Soldier I got his cute achievement spray and I feel rather proud of myself. Ended on three golds even though I switched halfway through the match, and had a whole lot of fun. I might keep practicing him.

I love being told in comp to practice characters in Quickplay and not in comp, but then when I go to practice them in quickplay people there tell me to practice them in Arcade and not qp and I’m like...ya’ll are taking quickplay way too seriously. Like I went dps to practice dps, and we ended up with only one healer, said healer started bitching at us immediately for not filling healer and tank roles, and I said I wanted to practice dps for comp so i dont want to switch, and they say “if you want to practice for comp you should treat quick play like comp.” IF I DID THAT I WOULD LITERALLY ONLY EVER GET TO PLAY TANK AND HEALER.  I would never get a chance to practice dps. I want to be able to flex roles because believe it or not, I have ended up having to take the dps slot before and I did okay but I don’t feel like I didn’t pulled my weight and I want to get better so I can play the role better when I have to.  I am a support main first and foremost but being given shit for wanting to practice other roles where I’m supposed to practice is annoying af.

it seems so strange to me that the only people it is socially acceptable to live with (once you reach a certain stage in life) are sexual partners? like why can’t i live with my best friend? why can’t i raise a child with them? why do i need to have sex with someone in order to live with them? why do we put certain relationships on a pedestal? why don’t we value non-sexual relationships enough? why do life partners always have to be sexual partners?
