So here I am, fat bride-to-be, so deliriously happy it’s a little funny.
Fun facts:
We’ll be walking down the aisle to Steven Universe’s Be Wherever You Are
The dress I want is super cheap and super cute
We’ll be wearing yellow converse. Like, both of us.
That’s our cat, Wiggins. We have another cat named Reza.
Thank you for your well-wishes!

Thanks for reading “a little bit” of my article before forming your foolish opinion and sharing it with me. Please remember Jessica Jones and the fat woman are both characters in a show, and the writers chose to write this scene for a reason. Also, delete your account.
Here’s me telling you why Jessica Jones is a fatphobic piece of shit show.

On Being Fat On The Internet
I woke up this morning to more hate messages than I could deal with, and I started crying. I wasn’t crying for the hate messages. I had read all those before. I was crying because SJ Twitter, as usual, was silent on the whole thing.
Bring up the fact that SJ Twitter is silent on something and you’ll usually get a dozen people telling you that, no, they aren’t, and then suggesting you “self-care” or, as it actually means in this context, stop talking about it.
If I were a thin woman (let’s be honest) I would receive much more support when I am harassed. There would be a hashtag campaign and four million white knights lining up to listen and defend.
But as it stands, I’m fat. And SJ Twitter? SJ Twitter isn’t so great about fat people.
God, I hate today.

On Celebrating Your Body
Every time you post a selfie, unashamedly share your comfort, and fearlessly display your body to the public, especially as a woman or a femme non-binary person, you are making a political statement.
You are demanding that your body be allowed to take up space. You are demanding that your body be allowed to exist. You are demanding that your body’s agency be respected.
You are challenging ideas about beauty. You are challenging ideas about happiness. You are challenging people to accept you as a human being.
Your selfies are radical acts. Your selfies are especially radical acts if you are fat.
I deserve clothes that fit my body and make me comfortable. I deserve to take up space. I deserve to exist, to be, to go out and do things.
I deserve to be because I am a living human, and that alone gives me the right to exist without hiding myself away.
