Went to see Elio because I needed to watch a movie at the cinema and that was the only original story I could find. Every time they mentioned the Communiverse i kept thinking about Karl Marx.

I did not know two women directed this movie! (is that why it wasn't advertised as much as any next sequel of Toy Story will be?)

Every time they showed space I was really happy: unfortunately Pixar keeps being a good animation studio. It's just grossly taken over by Disney all the time these days and I hate it. I do hope they'll keep making original movies though, one can only hope.

That little look in Tam’s eyes when Phi licked his lips. That little ‘OMG IS THIS HAPPENING’ mixed with ‘oh no I fucked around and found out’ look. It’s like, he’s spent weeks now flirting and trying to push Phi’s buttons to see if there was any love left in Phi’s heart for him, and now he’s terrified because there most definitely is and despite everything, he’s having a moment of doubt that he’s fucked up again.

i see "men bad" jokes as very similar to suicide jokes. like making them every once in a while isn't the worst thing, but if you Keep making them constantly. it DOES shape how you start thinking and you WILL become a more unpleasant and bitter person and also make people around you uncomfortable. and sometimes you just gotta choose to not make or engage with certain jokes, even if they are amusing to you, because its just not who you wanna be

These ladies are wearing Tang Dynasty hanfu, the famous "golden age" of Chinese history. Artefacts show that aesthetics during this dynasty favored fuller shaped women, if you've ever seen the figures from the museums these ladies look like exact replicas :D
