[ hey sorry i kinda disappeared without saying anything for the last week or so. i know there’s been people waiting on me;; i’ve just been distracted with family stuff the last little bit and it hasn’t really left me with much time or energy to do anything here. i’ll hopefully have an easier time with the starters now that i have more to work with in terms of setting. and those being done should make it easier to focus on actual replies. ]

How easily does your muse adapt to any new situations they’re thrust into?

Surprisingly fast considering he’s the spirit of an Ancient Egyptian Pharaoh. Despite any initial shock or confusion he experiences, his ability to adapt to the unexpected is probably one of his best assets. 

Does your muse care about appearances much? Do they spend a lot of time on their own appearance, or do they just go with the flow each day?

Yes and no? Like, Yami’s not necessarily going to go out of his way to have super expensive flashy clothes and accessories but also he would not want to look like a slob. He definitely does like to be clean, and probably would spend money on some sephora eyeliners. That said, he doesn’t spend as much time on getting ready as you might think. 

If your muse could ensure one thing for certain in their future to come, what would it be?

Honestly, all he would want is to make sure that his friends remain safe and happy; regardless of what that means for him. As much as he would like his memories back, his friends are far more important to him.

Absolutely but only once and only because the glitter took forever to leave the bathtub and he felt bad about that. You know he kept one of those glitter body butter bar thingies around though, the glitter still takes forever to get rid of but at least he can contain it to mostly his space lmao

What is something that your muse is fascinated with?

Aside from from figuring out his past? I’d say Yami’s probably pretty into discovering and learning new games, so Yugi’s grandpa running a game shop that specializes in rare games is definitely ideal in that regard. 

When it comes to self-care, what does your muse do to take care of themselves? Do they take care to spend time on it, or do they feel they don’t deserve it?

Honestly… not a whole lot? I mean, in terms of meeting emotional needs, he does talk to his friends when something is bothering him but it takes a bit of coaxing on their part. It’s not really that he doesn’t think he deserves it so much as he’d rather not bother anyone or have anyone worry about him.

And I’m sure Yami’s just never really bothered to worry about his physical needs since he doesn’t really have them? Like it’s Yugi’s body so he probably leaves all that to him since Yami really only every takes over duels and such.

 That’s under normal circumstances though, now that Yami is the only one inhabiting his body he’ll have to adjust to actually taking care of himself. So, I think he’ll eventually be super in fancy bath products and stuff, which is probably lowkey subconscious bit of his past life leaking through.

i live in canada but not anywhere cool or nice. just some shitty little city in the north surrounded by trees. 

i’ve honestly been rping for years and got my start on gaia then eventually drifted over to tumblr and into mfrp. i’ve been in a decent amount of mfrps, including citta for a while but i quit rping like 3 or so years for personal reasons. might’ve came back sooner though, had my laptop not died during that time lol

my main hobbies are drawing and vidya games. i’m ok at both unless we're talking about the city escape stage from sonic adventure battle 2 bc i could probably play in my sleep tbh

my taste in games is fairly varied but honestly i really only ever play overwatch these days;;; 

some of my favourite things, in no particular order, are dogs, jellyfish, yugioh, overwatch, the nightmare before christmas, dogs, puns, cool/cute cups, paranormal stuff, DOGS

i have pretty severe depression and plus anxiety so you will have to be bit patient with me sometimes. when that shit hits it usually hits hard and it can sometimes take me days to bounce back from it. this is on top of me already being pretty slow under normal circumstances. it may take me a bit but i promise you i am trying to work as fast as i can on replying to you.

otherwise i am generally pretty chill, albiet awkward as shit, and am honestly perfectly content letting you do most of the talking while i listen.

Yami’s not quite sure how he managed to end up in the wrong ward but he did it and now he doesn’t know how to get back. It doesn’t really help that it’s late and there isn’t really anyone around to ask for directions.

Or so he thought.

Just as Yami was resigning himself to having to find his own way home, he spotted a figure on the opposite side of the street. They were still a little ways off but they seemed to be coming his way, which sparked a small wave a relief in him. Of course, it wasn’t until he began crossing the street that he noticed that they had what appeared to be horns. This gave him reason to pause and reconsider his decision to approach whoever, or whatever, that figure was. Yami wasn’t scared, so much as he was suddenly very aware that he couldn’t really do much if he was attacked. It also suddenly occurred to him that even if they hadn’t noticed him before, they definitely would’ve saw him now that he was standing in the middle of an empty street. Then again, if they were hostile they probably would’ve attacked him or something by now.

“Well, here goes nothing..” He thought as he reached the other side of the street.

“Excuse me.”

“I’m sorry to bother you but I’m very lost and I need to get back to the Archimedes Ward. Could you possible point me in the right direction?” He explained, eyeing the stranger down warily. Now that he was much closer, Yami could see that the horns were part some kind of strange skull; whether it was a face or a headdress of sorts he still wasn’t sure.  

He wasn’t about to ask either.

Tired, and definitely not paying as much attention as he should be, Yami almost doesn’t notice he’s about to walk head first into someone. Almost. Luckily, he catches himself just before it happens and manages to avoid them; although, that does come at the cost of him stepping off the curb and absolutely eating shit taking a bit of a tumble.

Yami isn’t hurt or anything but he doesn’t really attempt to move immediately either. Instead, he just kind of lets out little sigh as he quietly hopes no one actually saw that happen.
