                Eating alone at McDonalds is brutal. Children are around. They enjoy their plastic food and toys. Most of the food at McDonalds is akin to playdoh only with less nutritional value. DW Toy manages to finish a Big Mac in this manner. A Big Mac is not called a Big Mac in France. Pulp Fiction states the French called it ‘Le Big Mac’. A ‘Quarter Pounder with Cheese’ is a ‘Royale with Cheese’ due to Europe’s insistence on a non-stupid form of measurement. America will never learn. But America will never need to learn. 

                Golden Arches burned off Icarus’s wings. This is true. Poor Icarus wanted the Dollar Value meal but he got more than he bargained for, via death. Losing his wings made his death swift. McDonalds paid to have Icarus’s story changed to ancient Greece. Originally the story was an old wife’s tale from the late 1960s. Things were crazy in the late 1960s. A lone pioneer of bird-man hybrid technology Icarus lost his life for a Big Mac for science. To remember him McDonalds put out their first ‘Happy Meal’ to give to his family. For those who can find the limited addition figurine it is worth thousands of dollars. 

                Love happens underneath the arches. McDonalds arch represents the discovery of new territories. The St. Louis Arch tried to sue McDonalds. Good thing McDonalds promised that it would discover a place better than the Pacific Northwest. Despite not finding the place St. Louis and America wait with bated breath until the new territory is found. Someday McDonalds will find a place where life is beautiful. Until such time McDonalds holds onto the Henry Hall’s BBC Orchestra song ‘Underneath the Arches’ for their Salvador Dali inspired commercial. It will change advertising forever. 

                Combo meals make America free. If these meals weren’t offered how anyone could choose the yummy meals at McDonalds would be a mystery. People like choice. The choice needs to be carefully defined. The choice needs to include fries always. Everybody loves French fries. ‘Freedom fries’ never caught on due to its foolish title. However the infatuation with the French fry continues unabated. Originally the fry was named out of fear. If nobody liked them then the creator would be doomed. The inventor of the French fry named it such to avoid potential failure. If people hated it he could say ‘Don’t blame me blame some country you’ve never been to.’ And ever since the French fry has been the greatest thing France got credit for in America, rivaling the Statue of Liberty, Louisiana Purchase, and Jane Birkin. 

                 DW orders a special someone on the menu. He loves it. They spend their time underneath the arches. The McDonalds arches are neon bibles across America guiding weary travelers to civilization. Fast food is the national dish of America. It is beautiful.
