Revisiting old ideas to freshen up my mind. Recently I’m a little stuck, nothing I draw satisfies me, it feels like my skills are deteriorating. Not to feel terrible I decided to redraw this old idea which I sometimes do to check where I’m at. But because some time ago I gave up on digital art the newest version can’t be directly compared to the other ones. Nevertheless I wanted to put them together. I have to admit it turned out pretty nicely, the background was made in monochromatic tones while the characters are in color.

For the heck of it I’m posting the older versions as well. I can’t believe it’s been 13 years since the first one. It was so so bad but hey, it’s part of the history

Well look at that, a sketch! I haven’t posted any of those in a while. Actually I haven’t done any of those in a while, half a year probably. Lately art is a struggle, the pandemic and intense work schedule make me lose any will and inspiration to draw in my freetime. But with the upcoming spring I promised myself to break that cycle and  draw a little more often.

It’s funny how the first sketch page I’m actually happy with is a NSFW one. I’m sorry. This one was partially inspired by the great @fennethianell because of the beautiful and soft pictures she draws, I can’t get enough of them. And I’m actually really proud of myself, for such a long break from sketching this yurned out really nice. So have a little steamy time with my OTP in their 30s, I hope you enjoy

Some time ago I came up with a personal project that would allow me to experiment and develop my skills, which I could enjoy at my own pace. This project is a calendar with some characters, OCs or otherwise, that are very dear to me. So far I've managed to draw December ( because that's when I drew the first picture), January, February, March and April. It's really fun and I'm learning a lot. I only wish I had more time and inspiration to draw them

Another batch of long overdue pictures. The first one is a picture I forgot to include in the previous set. Second one is the portrait of my grandfather who passed away 5 years ago, drawn as a gift for my grandma. The rest are sky studies, some made from memory or imagination, some referenced from photos. It was really fun to make them

Did an illustration for chapter 14 update of Ardent by @blizzaurus

It’s edited a bit, to make it look good and without stains (I did mess it up at the very end so there was no way I would start painting it all over again for the 3rd time), so here goes my result of having fun with black and golden ink, and ink pen!

I need to do more works in traditional way, it’s very tiring and frustrating, but fun and the final result is just so worth it!

October is a month for artists. We used to have inktober, now after the drama around the challenge artists have found different ways to go around with it. New lists were made, different mediums are being used. I'm one of those artists, a friend showed me a really cool list on Instagram, I've been exploring it using watercolor. Some time ago I decided to draw a pair of my OCs on a field trip doing various of things in order to practice painting. It turned into a series of four illustrations that I'm rather fond of. Especially that lately drawing does not come easy for me, I'm struggling with motivation, low self esteem and busy schedule. So it took me a while to make them but they're finally done. A commission for Carnifici on Twitter, a cover piece for his story about Alphonse Elric's adventures in Xing. The story is still in progress and I'm not sure if it'll be available in English, but the premises seems exciting. Painting such a vast landscape was a blast, I hope you can enjoy it

You can be sentenced to more for having weed on you. Are people really this blind and stupid? How can this happen in Europe, in 2020? What can we do about it if Polish goverment doesnt care about UE’s statements and sanctions? What is going to happen next? Side Note To Fan Fic Authors

Here’s the thing.

I read a lot of scripts.  A lot.  From professionals to aspiring writers to complete newbies.  Features and pilots.  Specs and treatments.

And 8 times out of 10 the fan fic that I’ve read over the last, oh, 15 years is leagues better than this stuff.  It’s more inspired.  It’s more compelling.  It’s genre bending and creative and heartfelt.  It’s well-paced and intense and funny and sexy and meaningful.  It’s smart and thoughtful and good.  It’s novel-quality.  Better than, sometimes.

Rare is the script I don’t want to put down, but how often have we stayed up until 3am to get to the last chapter of a 100k fic? And it’s not even a fan fic author’s day job.  This is what they do on the side.  In their spare time.  For free.

So my point is, fan fic authors, you’re good.  You’re good writers and great storytellers.  I know it doesn’t always feel like it, especially if you’re one of the authors who’s not a BNF and doesn’t get the notes/hits that a few do.  And  because some people still view fic as “not real writing.” You guys know the shit that gets made into movies.  You’re better than that.  So be better than that.  If writing is what you think want to do, then just know you’re already doing it.   You’ve already started.

And you’re more talented than you might think.

Summary:

Near the middle, there’s a small picture of Nana and Papa. It looks like they’re in their early twenties, both of them wearing white and grinning at the camera. They’re the only ones in the picture, and this one feels different. She can’t tell where they are, but they’re both clearly ecstatic about something.

Or, Ed and Winry’s granddaughter likes to hear the stories of her Nana and Papa when they were young.
