Partly! He is very sensitive but he’s also developed a very thick skin and probably some empathy issues alongside it, if he wasn’t like this he’d struggle to get out of bed in the morning. His job is horrifically stressful, he sees people die all the time and knows he himself could die at any moment.

However, Our Ciel obviously does repress a lot of the things he feels and has done ever since he was young, because he believes his true emotions aren’t valid. Being a ‘cry baby’ would be unbecoming of someone who’s already timid and has so much against them.

So he doesn’t let himself be a sensitive person, these days more than ever.

But deep down, he’s still a shy kid who gets embarrassed by silly things and worries about how people see him.

It makes me sad.
