Today I will talk about one of my own colour creations - “Flüsch-grün”.
If you have been watching my shop for a while, you might have noticed how much I love to add a dash of PB71 here and there. I think it’s the most loved pigment in my product range, and while I will go further on PB71 on a separate post, it’s worth mentioning that this colour wouldn’t have made it if it wasn’t for the said pigment.
It was originally named “Sprout Green”, made of PY150 and PB71. I tweaked the ratio a bit, and immediately thought of the eyes of Flüsch - one of the two furry friends I share my life with. PY150 is a rather strong colour on its own, and the dull, soft, muted cerulean blue balanced it all nicely, adding some nice granulating effect to it.
Upon opening up my shop, I decided to include a small mixed media painting of Flüsch in every order that contains Flüsch-grün paint(s). These(top seven images) are the first set of works that were sent out to new homes along with the paints. I really enjoyed the whole process of making them, and it’s also a good exercise to keep myself motivated in drawing and trying new techniques!

Here's a fun wee comparison - Cobalt Turquoise, EEM and Lukas (1862). A few days ago, I finally got myself a half pan of Cobalt Turquoise by Lukas. One reason of buying thus pan was because I am being very precious of my own handmade one, as I cannot find the pigment (PG50) any longer. So I wanted to find a good substitute, and it turns out Lukas offers it! They look almost identical in dried form, except the Lukas is totally solid and mine is semi moist. Both were very easy to rewet. When painted, they look quite different. Lukas' Cobalt Turquoise is leaned towards more a green shade, and mine is more a blue shade. Both granulates beautifully, though Lukas' appears to a coarser granulation compared to mine. Verdict? I like both! I generally like Lukas paints especially because they are so economical. I think I'll grab a 21ml tube next time. Although, this isn't exactly a solution to my problem as I would like to find a good alternative to my cobalt turquoise... If anyone has an idea/suggestion, let me know! :) Eventually, Everything Mixes 🎨 eem-berlin.de / eem-berlin.com eemberlin.storenvy.com [email protected]

Hello and Welcome!
It took some time - but the blog is finally open, hurrah!
Initially I was hesitant to add a blog to this project - EEM - as I generally struggle to keep a blog up to date. There are already a handful of blogs that are collecting digital dusts. Then I thought, well, I may give this one go and try to get myself better SNS-organised.
So, in here, I will share some of the production pictures, side stories about certain pigments that I find interesting, and announce news and shop updates. There have been some questions and things I wanted to talk about my paints and production, so I will share them as well.
Thank you for your support - as always! :)
