When you feel all the sweats but your shirt only shows about 2 drops. đ¨letâs talk heart rate (HR) for a quick moment! đ¨ The most common way to know your max HR is 220-age. For example if youâre 30 your max HR is 190, which means your GOAL should be to get as close to that as you can. Your goals should NOT be to get over your max HR, and if it does happen listen to your body. There is also Heart Rate Reserve, HRR, which is the different between your resting HR and your max HR. You would use HRR with what intensity is desired during your workout. So if you are still the 30 year old and your resting HR is around 70bpm, your Reserve would be 120bpm. Then multiple by your desired intensity, letâs say 70% (.70). You would get a HRR of 84bpm. Now stay with me. 84 + 70(resting) = 154bpm is your new GOAL during your workout. You DO NOT need to be at 100% intensity. I hope this was a little helpful! đBack story:đ In October I started CrossFit, I loved it but I got severe low back pain after a workout and had to put that on pause. then I found out after starting Physical therapy that I have sacroiliac dysfunction. The situation now: I stopped the 80 day obsession to pursue 3 rounds of 21 day fix. Pictured is the calendar were my plans. Pictured is the book is the section about individuals with low back pain and the exercise recommendations + considerations. â˘â˘â˘ On Friday, after a workout I got an increased back pain that has blow up to be an episode of SI dysfunction. I workout on Saturday which wasnât the best idea and now Iâm reading I should take some time offâagain. â˘â˘â˘ Not an ideal situation, but on the bright side I can sub in my old PT exercises until I can get into see my PT.
