Watching original scenes from Game of Death and comparing it to the 78 released version right now

“Oh this version(the 78 version) is a lot easier for Western audiences to follow” that gotta be a damn lie cuz I was lost throughout the movie, and the only real parts I enjoyed were the last 11 min where Mr. Lee was actually fighting. America(but I’ll be honest mainly White audiences) probably mainly liked it cuz it was treated like a Western action movie with this cool guy that just hits opponents harder.

I’m watching some of the original scenes right now (like 20 min worth) and this is literally more entertaining than the whole movie I watched. Within these scenes I get an idea that martial arts from different cultures have their strengths and weaknesses, I get to see engaging fight scenes, funny character interactions, and I get to see Lee’s character use his wit and flexibility to take advantage over his opponents

Also his character is such a bitch but I love him

the place adventure time has in just culture in general is so so funny to be because it's so prevalent whether through just merch with characters on it or designs directly referencing the style/aesthetics and yet most people have not actually seen the show past season 1-5 (including me until like a year ago!) so if you try to explain any post s5 adventure time plot where it basically became a complete different show you sound fucking insane. they don't even know about princess bubblegum's gay cousin chicle. they don't even know about my dear friend fern.

Anyway I'm not gonna touch that internalized lycanphobia with a ten foot pole. Being turned by your partner is something that can be incredibly intimate as long as both parties are consenting and the one being turned is 100% sure they want it. Literally the only downside to transforming once a month is the pain, but midol works just fine. No one with these "lycanthropy bad" takes ever wants to discuss the legitimate positives that come with this "curse" lmao.
