#copied A female common leopard named “Shezadi” by Islamabad Wildlife Management Board (IWMB) for her royal bearing has been found to be a permanent resident of territory between Trails 4 & 6 inside Margallah Hills National Park. Shezadi has been caught on camera traps set up by IWMB staff for several evenings in a row in late January. From the areas that we have sampled using camera traps since 2019, we have identified at least 5 individual common leopards living within the boundaries of the Margallah Hills National Park. Shezadi is now familiar with the trails that humans take and avoids them during the day. Most attacks by leopards on humans are in self defense – intentional attacks are rare. The common leopard is a critically endangered species and the top predator of the park. Leopards are very territorial and a leopard that knows his or her territory (usually marked by him/her over 50 square km) is much safer than a new leopard that will move in to claim the dead leopard’s territory. Shezadi has been living inside the park in the territory she has marked and now patrols, as a permanent resident since at least last year. She was last filmed on January 31th 2021. Her rosetta pattern has been identified to be the same one as of a leopard caught on a camera trap in June 2020. Visitors to Margallah National Park are requested to observe the warning signs of leopard territories and to stay on the marked trails and to not enter the park when it gets dark. They should preferably hike in groups, refrain from cycling in the park and return half an hour before sunset and enter a full hour after dawn. I ordered Billy the Kid Beef Burger from @runthebell2k18 Have to give it to the Chef the burger was amazing and the sauce was literally dripping from the bun. Although the burger was not spicy upto my taste some people may find it spicy. The bun was fresh and the beef patty was cooked to a perfect charcoal grilled taste. آج سے 18 سال قبل پنجاب یونیورسٹی کی ایک طالبہ، وجیہہ عروج، نے یونیورسٹی پر ایک بہت دلچسپ کیس کیا۔ انہیں ایک پرچے میں غیر حاضر قرار دیا گیا تھا جبکہ وہ اس دن پرچہ دے کر آئیں تھیں۔ یہ صاف صاف ایک کلرک کی غلطی تھی۔ وجیہہ اپنے والد کے ہمراہ ڈپارٹمنٹ پہنچیں تاکہ معاملہ حل کر سکیں۔ وہاں موجود ایک کلرک نے ان کے والد سے کہا’آپ کو کیا پتہ آپ کی بیٹی پیپر کے بہانے کہاں جاتی ہے۔‘ یہ جملہ وجیہہ پر پہاڑ بن کر گرا۔ وہ کبھی کلرک کی شکل دیکھتیں تو کبھی اپنے والد کی۔ انہیں سمجھ نہ آیا کہ وہ کیا کریں۔ وہ اپنے ہی گھر والوں کے سامنے چور بن گئیں۔ وہ کہتی ہیں کہ ان کی والدہ بھی انہیں عجیب نظروں سے دیکھنا شروع ہو گئیں تھیں۔ کیا ہی اچھا ہوتا کہ کلرک صرف اپنے کام سے کام رکھتا۔ وجیہہ کے بارے میں اپنی رائے دینے کی بجائے وہ حاضری رجسٹر چیک کرتا یا اس دن کے پرچوں میں ان کا پرچہ ڈھونڈتا۔ لیکن اس نے اپنے کام کی بجائے وجیہہ کے بارے میں رائے دینا زیادہ ضروری سمجھا، یہ سوچے بغیر کہ اس کا یہ جملہ وجیہہ کی زندگی کس قدر متاثر کر سکتا ہے۔ وجیہہ نے یونیورسٹی پر کیس کرنے کا فیصلہ کیا۔ اس کیس میں ان کا ساتھ ان کے والد نے دیا۔ کیس درج ہونے کے چار ماہ بعد یونیورسٹی نے اپنی غلطی تسلیم کرتے ہوئے عدالت میں ان کا حل شدہ پرچہ پیش کر دیا لیکن معاملہ اب ایک ڈگری سے کہیں بڑھ کر تھا۔ وجیہہ نے یونیورسٹی سے اپنے کردار پر لگے دھبے کا جواب مانگا۔ یہ قانونی جنگ 17 سال چلتی رہی۔ گذشتہ سال عدالت نے وجیہہ کے حق میں فیصلہ سنایا اور یونیورسٹی کو آٹھ لاکھ روپے جرمانہ ادا کرنے کا حکم دیا۔ وجیہہ نے اس ایک جملے کا بھار17 سال تک اٹھایا۔ وہ تو جی دار تھیں، معاملہ عدالت تک لے گئیں۔ ہر لڑکی ایسا نہیں کر سکتی۔ خاندان کی عزت ان کے بڑھتے قدم تھام لیتی ہے ورنہ یقین مانیں ہم میں سے ہر کوئی عدالت کے چکر کاٹتا پھرے اور اپنے منہ سے کسی لڑکی کے بارے میں نکلے ایک ایک جملے کی وضاحت دیتا پھرے۔ وجیہہ کے والدین نے ان کی ڈگری مکمل ہوتے ہی ان کی شادی کر دی۔ انہیں ڈر تھا کہ بات مزید پھیلی تو کہیں وجیہہ کے رشتے آنا ہی بند نہ ہو جائیں۔ وجیہہ بہت کچھ کرنا چاہتی تھیں لیکن اس ایک جملے کی وجہ سے انہیں وہ سب نہیں کرنے دیا گیا۔ وہ اپنی زندگی سے مطمئن ہیں لیکن ان کے دل میں کچھ نہ کر پانے کی کسک بھی موجود ہے۔ DAWN.
