Africa?

Update, 

So I am going to Africa this summer for 6 weeks! YAY! I am very excited, but at the same time I don't feel like I'm really going. Maybe after I get through my last final. Everyone is so happy for me, but a part of me doesn't feel ready because I know I'm going to miss my boyfriend, my mom, and the rest of my family and friends a lot. I know I need this trip, though. It is my declaration of independence! 

I am pumped. I just want to get there already. I still need to do some shopping and last minute preps. But, I'm excited! In just 3.5 weeks I will be taking off!!

For now, I will just sit tight, finish my finals, finish moving back home, watch my friends graduate, and prepare for the trip of my life!

Winter Break?

So! I have finally finished my first semester this year, my junior year! I am very happy and anxious and all of the above. I have no idea what the heck I am going to do during break. Oh, I know. A research paper and ANOTHER proposal (because I did not get the last one *sad face*) Hopefully I get an internship. So I can keep busy because if I do nothing, I will do nothing. AH! 

I just checked my grades, I got a C *womp womp*. This is totally going to ruin my GPA FUCKKKKKK. I am not happy about this. That makes two classes I have to re take during my senior year. NOT FUN. They're classes that I do not like. I hate one of the professors. My goal for next semester is a 4.0 GPA! I can DO IT! I am excited for my courses next semester, I really am. I can't wait to do better and get a second chance. Then Ireland in the summer. I need this! I hope that my calculations are correct so I can still retain my scholarship and take my money and just GO.

My wish for next semester:

1.) Get a 4.0

2.) Get my second proposal accepted

3.) Sign up to go to Ireland

3.) Get accepted as a Undergrad. Assist. Hall Dirctor

This is going to be tough, but I can do it. To be honest, I don't want to write a research paper, or fix my proposal, or just apply for the UAHD position. I just want to get these things. But thas not how it works. I have to work for them, so I will. Wish me luck!

Done and Done but not yet done

So I have turned in my African Research proposal and all that is left is to wait until they get back to me! AH! This process is very nerve-racking. I am not good at waiting, but I guess all of my professors met up and decided to keep me busy with exams and papers in the next couple of weeks! I am so not ready for this. I have an exam tomorrow for archaeology, a class that I hate and completely regret not dropping. I haven't even begun to study, even though I believe this professor is on crack because this is going to be an extensive exam, even though we only have 1.5hrs to do it! TOO MUCH LADY! I hate this class. I do not care about the pre-classic to the late classic era of Mexico. I just don't. At least I got my hair done this weekend. Went apple picking, and ate cider donuts. I went to a church with some friends, I don't think I liked it very much. It just didn't feel right. The people were a bit off and some personalities came off too strong and demanding. There were three preachers. the second and third were good, but the first one, I didn't like at all. I didn't like the passage he chose, and he made me uncomfortable and upset. 

But, that was this weekend, hopefully this week will pass by. Not looking forward to my two  exams this week. And I also have the great pleasure of being on DUTY Friday night....yay.... -_-
