extremely random question. but why do you think Coluans are green and/or blue?

I feel like this might have been canon at one point, but my personal favorite theory is that they have chlorophyll in their skin which allows them to produce their own energy source. So the green/blue are from the cellular similarity they have to plants.

No reason why they couldn't have green skin just because, but I've always liked the idea of sentient beings who photosynthesize, and it makes sense for Coluans, who are technoorganic, to have a steady energy supply

Also it explains why brainy rarely eats (though he probably needs more sunlight than he usually gets, I like to imagine he has sun lamps in his labs)

Plus then they use carbon dioxide to do the energy exchange, which means they're ALSO "green" (environmentally friendly)!!
