My opinion about II 18

SPOILERS WARNING!!!!!

It's not that bad, but it's not the ending that satisfies the expectations of Inanimate Insanity.

It's good that it ended in a happy ending because Inanimate Insanity is not ONE. Inanimate Insanity was actually a series that laid the foundation for OSC along with BFDI, which was the beginning of the object show, and bad endings (or near open endings) like ONE wouldn't have suited it. And even if it ended like that, the fandom would have been more critical than it is now.

At first, it was just great, but when I looked closely, the probability was very poor. I should have noticed something was wrong from the time Shimmers showed no vigilance against Cobs... AND MEPAD'S DEATH WAS UNNECESSARY AT FLOT WHY YOU KILLED HIM ANIMATIONEPIC

Also, I think Cobs' end is too futile. It would have been better to die to Shimmers or even if Cobs was alive, lose all of his house, company, property and disowned by Mephone4. I'm not trying to defend Cobs. THAT FUCKING ABUSER DIED SO COMFORTABLY

In conclusion, honestly, the last scene wasn't that bad. It's just that the process to get to it was terribly wrong. Box's story was very appealing, and the participants who ran to the finish line to come back to life were rather positive because they thought of the phrase, "The birds have to break an egg called the world for them to be born."

And Final Two's growth was great. Suitcase overcame hallucinations on her own and saved Box, and Knife sacrificed herself to save Marshmellow, who she had killed by him. (but I think Suitcase when eating popcobs is OOC)

If you see someone who criticizes II, don't criticize them and understand them. If you think about it a little more, it's not like you can't completely understand them. I'm not disparaging the hard work of the people who made II18, but if this was the best ending, I think it wasn't.

[2024.XX.XX Test Tube Lab Diary]

This post has II 18 SPOILERS!!!!!!

I wrote about the reason why Mepad can't revive despite the technology of Test Tube.

...I've been doing my best to repair Mepad so far, but in the end I had no choice but to conclude that he was non-renewable. The damaged parts were all replaced, and the memory also confirmed that there was no fault. However, the attempt to operate failed every single time. There was virtually no technical reason for it to fail because I checked all the variables before it worked.

While I was getting tired of fixing Mepad every day and night, a thought crossed my mind. "What if Mepad refused to revive himself?"

This is just a hypothesis forever, maybe an excuse for my lack of ability. But if he chose to rest forever the moment he died and that's true... then should I revive him?

II2 17 SPOILER

I'm thinking about ii story's message.

(Some DNI opinion about ii 17 ending)

If ii17 is the really end of the series, the lesson that ii want to send is TOTTALLY MESS. What is the lesson ii would like to deliver through the ending where all the contestants are wiped of their existence without being treated as 'REAL' people rather than part of the show, and MePhone4 gives up everything and goes back to the abuser's side? Put your childhood delusions aside and live your life as an adult?

There are people comparing the ending of ii17 to the ending of hfjONE, and at least hfjONE had the obvious intention of twisting the object show genre. So I think it's a big disservice to the anime crew on both sides to bring hfjONE into the argument about ii17.

There is only one thing I want to say. If Inanimate Insanity is to end properly, it needs at least one more episode. There are people who think that the meaning of their deaths will be tarnished when the dead contestants return, but I disagree with that. Because the revival of those who disappeared with the show as "part of the show" will definitely mean something.

+This is an area of speculation that has nothing to do with the content of the text, but I don't think we'll get the main story of ii anymore, regardless of how it ends. As long as there's a big event that could shake the identity of the show and the psychology of Mephone4, we can't expect Mephone as a host to open a new show.

However, that doesn't mean Animation Epic will completely pull out of the ii. Other media, if not the main story, may come out in the form of stories or foreign affairs, just in case. They might be preparing a BRAND-NEW-OBJECT SHOW!
