EL VERDE is an action-packed comedy series that brings the world of Latinx superheroes to the stage. Created by Boyle Heights native Anthony Aguilar, the show blends the campy fun of the 1960s Batman series with the humor of the Mexican sketch comedy classic Chespirito—complete with quirky 30-second commercials. Meet Arturo Sanchez, a mild-mannered factory worker from the not-so-distant world of Mexico, raised in the good old U.S. of A. All he ever wanted was an ordinary life—until a freak elote accident changed everything. Now, as El Verde, he fights for truth, justice, and the Mexican-American way… with powers even he doesn’t fully understand!
