I thought it was about time I posted a ‘hello this is me’ picture as there are a few more of you who have followed me recently ☺️. Thanks so much for the likes and follows, it’s a joy sharing my work with you. So hello there! I’m Emma, here with 2/3 of my little ones. Meet Ivy (right) and Matilda. I work as a freelance illustrator half the week and the other half I look after three little ones. Here are some random facts about me: - I share a birthday with my younger sister Helen who is exactly five years younger than me to the day. Completely unplanned by my mum and dad but it was honestly the best birthday present ever! - I recently got into the Marvel franchise and I’m like ‘where have I been for the last ten years!?!!!?’ Its soooo good. - I used to find four leaf clovers everywhere, I found over 30 and pressed them into a book- no word of a lie! - I am a little bit obsessed with @welovefrugi clothes and secretly want to work as a surface pattern designer for them (in my dreams I know). - I love love love living here in a Bristol but I kind of want to live by the sea in Cornwall again one day. - I have a numb patch on my chin where a tooth extraction went slightly wrong when I was 15. It used to be worse and my family once let me walk around with a baked bean on my chin one afternoon- scarred for life! - I’ve always wanted to be an illustrator. A little bunny disappearing over a bridge... from ‘Our Easter Adventure’. I loved working with @penguinworkshop on this title, they were amazing and very understanding- as I was also very pregnant with the girls at the time, praying every day that I could have enough time to finish my book! In the end the girls were born at 37 + 5 days (which is considered late for twins) so I unknowingly had plenty of time. But they were very much with me throughout the creation of all of these artworks! Now this is an exciting post... Here for your eyes is a new picture book that I've worked on with Penguin Random House US: 'Over the River and Through the Woods.' It is out this August in time for Thanksgiving- as it is a Thanksgiving book!! I had so so much fun illustrating it, creating lots of sweeping wintry landscapes and snowy scenes, I am so excited to finally show it to you! There will be some snippets of the inside illustrations to come in due course 😊.

My top 9 Instagram posts of 2017. It’s been an amazing year! We welcomed a little Herb to the fam, I had three books published with awesome publishers, had an animation produced with @bible_society and @filma_king, won an award for ‘Diary of a Disciple’ and started licensing with @plum_licensing.
