i use to have a friend and we would call burping “the thing.” whenever we would talk about it in public or even in text haha! do you have a secret word for burping or do you just say it? for some reason i cant say the world without blushing and giggling.

i actually don't have a code word/phrase when talking irl but i should probably come up with one because i physically cannot get myself to say burp/belch out loud either (i very briefly talk about it here)

i guess my way of avoiding it is by not talking about it at ALL with anyone i know irl. but you know, i'd love to eventually be open about this kink someday, so maybe when that day rolls around i'll think of something hahaha

something about my burps that i'm not sure how to fix is just how... choppy they are? for lack of a better word i guess. but they just don't come up as smoothly as i'd like and no matter how much i practice, it never improves. oh well, i guess. maybe we can just say it gives my burps character hahaha

thank you so much for putting this on my radar!! when i first reached out to her, she had actually closed her comms, so i figured i'd wait a little bit to see if they'd open back up. and sure enough, not too long after, she said she'd open up one comm slot and i managed to snag it!!

for those who have read the majority of the stories in my first impressions series, you'd know how much thalia loves the yelren family's apple pies paired with chocolate ice cream!! and thalia is part ogre, and while i know that ogres are usually portrayed to be green, i just have always seen her as blue in my head hahaha.

but yes here she is!! it's especially awesome to get thalia commissioned from this artist specifically, because like you said, it was one of her pieces that inspired thalia's story (and therefore thalia herself) in the first place!!

so yes, thank you SO much @bruppypuppy!! this was the first thing i've ever commissioned, and you made the process so easy!! if anyone's thinking of getting a comm done by her when they open back up, i definitely recommend it!!

EMPHASIS ON HOT

So into people saying "excuse me!" After they belch, oh my god idk what it is but that REALLY does it for me

Like someone confidently letting out a huge burp and then sarcastically saying "excuse me!" HOT

Or someone kind of shy and innocent burping unexpectedly, and mumbling "excuse me..." All embarrassed, HOT

Or someone acting all sweet and innocent after they belch, adding in a cute little "hehe, 'scuse me!" As if they didn't just let out an absolute monster, HOT HOT HOT

a while ago, i asked if you all would be interested in me writing something stardew valley related, and not only did a few of you say yes, but i was even asked to write something about shane specifically. so, my dear friend @fizziielfowo , here is my best attempt at a shane fic!! i really hope my characterization isn't too bad, but just in case, i've decided to only post this on here and not ao3.

for those who play stardew valley and are familiar with shane's two heart event, this is supposed to be a variant of that heart event. so instead of shane opening up about his struggles with life and depression, this happens instead hahaha. i hope you enjoy!!

(btw, just a warning that there's a lot of alcohol involved, and at one point shane almost vomits, but it ends up being a false alarm. if either of these things are a trigger/turn off for you, i'd caution against reading this fic!!)

You were heading towards your farm through the entrance from Cindersap Forest when you heard something. It sounded like mumbling and maybe even a soda can being opened. But who would be out so late at night, especially in the rain?

You don't know, but despite your better judgment you decide to find out. You walk towards the bridge along the river near the center of the forest, where the sound came from, and see a figure sitting along the very edge.

You don't know whether to approach or not. After all, what if this was some of monster that had escaped from the mines? Or maybe it was just someoen who wanted to be left alone.

But after a moment of contemplation, you decided that sitting in the rain like this wasn't good for anyone, so it'd be best to see if whoever this was was okay. And if it was a monster, you still had your rusty sword in your backpack if you needed it.

So you take a step closer, and then another, until you're able to see a familiar blue hoodie underneath the faint light of the moon.

It was Shane.

Shane seemed to notice you approaching, too, because he turned around, eyes slightly widened. "Farmer?"

You just nodded, giving him a small wave.

He sat at the edge of the bridge, criss crossed as he looked out at the water around him. He glanced at the empty spot next to him and patted it a couple times. "Care to join me?"

If you were being honest, you were really just hoping to go home and get out of the rain. You had done a lot of work today, and you were planning on getting even more work done tomorrow. That meant getting as much sleep as possible.

But as you looked at Shane, you could tell that his eyes were not only a little bloodshot from all the beer he had been drinking, but also looking for some company.

So, you make your way over and sit down next to Shane. Now that you're next to him, you can smell the alcohol on him, but that doesn't stop him from reaching for another can from his six-pack.

"Up late, huh?" he said, handing you the can he just grabbed. "Here, have a cold one."

You took it; you weren't expecting to drink so late at night, but you figured just one can wouldn't hurt.

Shane grabbed another can from his quickly-dwindling pack, and you wondered for a second if you should try to get him to stop. But before you could even finish that thought, he opened the can with a satisfying fizz before chugging half the can in one go.

You couldn't help but stare... that chugging was impressive as hell.

But he just sighed as he removed the can from his lips. It was as if he hadn't registered the alcohol he had just consumed at all. "Ugh... life."

You just nodded. It was... odd, hearing him open up to you, if only just a little bit. Ever since you moved into Pelican Town, he had been standoffish and frankly rude. And not rude like Haley-- where she at least had a conversation with you, even if that conversation always seemed like an excuse to insult you to your face-- rude in the sense that he would only ever really say two words to you at most, with those words usually being "Fuck off."

But now, sitting together underneath the darkened sky, he was friendlier than you had ever seen him or even thought he could be capable of. It was most likely just the alcohol talking, but still. It was nice.

"You gonna drink that?" he said, gesturing to the unopened can of beer in your hands. "'cause if you don't, I will."

Well, you definitely didn't think he should be drinking anymore, so you figured you might as well get to drinking. You opened the can and press it to your lips. You tried to chug like Shane had just a moment ago, but after four gulps you had to tap out. But they were still pretty big gulps, and you feel a buzz start up, the alcohol hitting you almost instantly.

Still, it seemed Shane was a little impressed at your display.

"Fast drinker, huh? After my own heart, I see."

You immediately blushed at that comment. Since when had Shane become so... charming?

Just then, a gurgle emitted from Shane's stomach. He scrunched up his face a bit, groaning.

"Come on."

With that, he pounded a fist to his chest and--

AAAAAAAAAUP

--let out a rather big, beer-fueled burp. With nothing to stifle it, the sound echoed throughout the open air for a few moments before disappearing.

"Ahhh," he sighed with satisfaction. "There it is."

Your cheeks began to burn. Was Shane just too intoxicated to realize what he had just done? Or did he know... and still chose to do it, anyway?

"Sorry," he said with a chuckle. "That had been bugging me for a while."

You didn't really know what to do. Should you address it? Pretent that it never happened?

Or maybe...

You looked down at your can of beer. He said he had been impressed by how quickly you could drink, but maybe there was something else you could do to impress him...

You press the can to your lips again, taking in a good chug or two, before setting it back down on the wood beneath you. You let the beer marinate for a second, before taking a deep breath and--

OOOOOOOOORRRP

--let out an impressive belch of your own. It was only slightly longer and louder than his, but you definitely had him beat in bass.

Was it a risk? Sure; maybe this would turn out to be a total turn off for him. But you figured you'd give it a shot. And hey, maybe if worse came to worst, he'd be too drunk to remember it in the morning.

So, you turned to look at him, cheeks slightly flushed.

Only to find a matching blush on his own face.

"I-- uh--" he mumbled, the alcohol slurring his words. "Wow."

You bit your lip. That was... good, right?

As if an answer to your internal question, he tipped his head back and downed the rest of his can in a matter of seconds-- and how was he so good at that-- before pounding a fist to his chest a few times.

AAAAAAAUUUUUUURRP

You nodded, crossing your legs a little tighter. Definitely a nice burp-- still not very deep, most likely due to the beer-- but still great length and volume, the release echoing around you even more than last time.

But you'd always had a bit of a competitive side, so if he was down for a small competition, who were you to say no? So you take a few more gulps, waiting a moment to release.

ooooooooOOOOOOOOWWP

You definitely won in the depth department, that was for sure, but while all the previous burps had been big explosions of sounds, this was more of a crescendo-- starting quietly and then building up into a monstrous roar.

"Damn!" he laughed, with even his laughter being slurred a little. "That was-- hic!-- huge!"

You blushed even deeper, but otherwise maintained your composure.

He took the last can in the pack and cracked it open, and you winced as he drank the entire can at once. That... really couldn't have been good for him. You debated if you should feel bad for inadvertently contributing to his alcohol problem.

But that was something you could worry about in the morning, you supposed.

Once Shane finished the can, he set it down, and without even getting a chance to breathe--

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA--ooooooo--hic!

What started out as a very loud and very high-pitched burp dragged on for a bit before becoming... concerning. It suddenly became wetter, more gurgly, like a faulty garbage disposal, before ending with an even wetter hiccup that had Shane throwing a hand over his mouth.

He swallowed thickly a couple times before shaking his head. "Okay, we're good. False alarm."

You breathed a sigh of relief. You definitely didn't want to have to deal with whatever almost happened.

"But now that that's out of the way," he said groggily, words slurred more than ever. "Does this mean I win?"

You nodded. That last belch was impressive, right up until the moment he almost threw up. You definitely thought he deserved this win.

"Great!" He smiled. "Now, I should probably head home--"

He tried standing up, but as soon as he was on his feet he stumbled, almost falling right into the river. You jumped to your feet, steadying him.

"Oh, thank you."

You couldn't let him walk home like this. Not alone, and definitely not at night. So, you wrapped one of his arms around his shoulders and helped walk him back to Manie's farm.

"Hey, farmer?"

You hummed, giving him permission to continue.

"We should do this again sometime."

You weren't sure if he meant it, or if it was just the alcohol talking, but you nodded. You'd love to try to beat him in another contest... as long as you both used sparkling water instead of beer next time. You weren't sure his liver could handle another night like this.

But that was a problem for another time.

something i've been thinking about a lot recently: someone who doordashes the same meal from a restaurant so frequently that the workers at said restaurant recognize the order as soon as it hits their system. even most of the doordashers in the area recognize the order and race to be the one to accept it since they know they tip well

something that i, as someone who resides somewhere on the ace spectrum, have always loved is non-sexual nudity... idk. just the concept of being so comfortable with someone that you could show every part of yourself without reservation and without the pressure of it needing to be anything more is just so wonderful to me.

after the boudoir photoshoot, and especially after they start dating, emery and drew are constantly naked around each other. like it's not at all an unusual sight to see either of them walking around the apartment after a shower with a towel wrapped only on top of their head rather than around their body. and besides, drew sleeps naked anyway, so why bother putting clothes on just to get up and brush her teeth each morning?

emery admittedly still gets awestruck for a moment every time she sees drew's naked body (specifically her boobs), but that moment gets shorter and shorter every time. she doesn't think she'll ever get fully used to seeing drew like this, but she gets close.

but i think a moment that stands out to them is one night they were both together, resting on the couch completely nude while playing stardew valley. emery was sitting, control in hand while focused on the game, and drew was laying down, head resting against emery's bare thighs. it was intimate, but it was also so casual, so natural. moments like these is one of the reasons why they feel their relationship is so strong.

now don't get me wrong, while the ending of And They Were Roommates kinda makes it sound like they're not gonna have sex, drew definitely gets to the point eventually where she's ready to fuck emery. in fact, the instance above happens immediately after drew ate emery out on the couch, where they just get up and decide to cool off afterwards by checking in on their shared farm. so yes, while they're often naked around each other, it's for non-sexual reasons just as often, if not more often, than it is for sexual reasons. they're just that close with each other.

Ugghh man I wish I hadn't been conditioned to be super shy about burping because I've been thinking recently about how fun it would be to have a group of feedist friends to hang out with where we just hang out eating mindlessly and rubbing our bellies and belching!!!
