okay, So, I know I should be working on all the hels a moon June stuff I missed and also my aquarium AU, but has anyone else thought about how Team ZITS fits into the four horsemen of the apocalypse? Like; Zed is Zedeath(death), Plague demon impulse lives close to my heart(Plague/pestilence), Tango runs a restaurant(Famine), and Skizz is really aggressive in the life series(War/wrath). I know it’s a stretch with some, but I’ve had this idea in my head for FOREVER and it’s finally broken into my sketchbook. Anyways, this is all just to say; I’m only doing some hels a moon June prompts, and expect less aquarium au posts until my mind lets me rest from this idea.

Ever think about combining a fan-creating event with a hidden role game? Enjoy practicing your sleuthing skills? Welcome to IMPROMPTSTER—the MCYT fan-work creation event where one among you is pretending they have the same prompt as the group.

Inspired by games like Chameleon and, of course, Among Us, we have put together a game that allows you to foil the Imposter and guess both your own crew's Imposter as well as the other crews' prompts!

Here is a document explaining how the event runs in more depth, and the Discord server link will be posted soon, though it will be dormant until June 27! We will be requiring a Discord account to participate, due to the mechanic of splitting everyone into tight-knit crews. Feel free to join even if you don't plan to participate, as you can get a custom role and attempt to guess who the Imposters are once the pieces come out! What should you be on the lookout for? Besides the Imposter, keep an eye out for participant signups! Here are some random facts about my aquarium au!

1)XB is actually aeqourian royalty! He ended up injuring his arm and was taken in by the shelter. His stay was supposed to be temporary while he healed, But Keralis got involved and.. well.. Let’s just say that true love is strange.

2)Doc is the only Aequorian who has bothered to learn English! He speaks it almost fluently but only uses it to talk with Ren. The guy is head over fins in love.

3)Jevin is the only aequorian who doesn’t have a traditional tail!

4)Cleo and doc get into slightly playful fights so much that they’re banned from sharing a tank unless they’re in the hub. If a fight breaks out between them then the official protocol is to evacuate. Since Doc and Cleo are so big that a fight could break foundations and tanks.

5)Originally all of the buttercups were going to be mer, but I decided to make Grian human instead to spice things up a bit.

6)I still haven’t gotten Doc’s design narrowed down right!!! I’ve drawn him more than any other member in this au, desperately trying to get his design to work, but it just won’t!!! The only concrete details are that he has four arm, grey patches on his green skin, horns made of coral, and a prosthetic eye.

7)Doc and Cleo are siblings. I know it’s weird and probably not seen all that often, but in this au they are in fact siblings.

8)Bdubs is the only freshwater aeqorian!

9)Tango is the only aequorian without hair. Instead he has a fin! This is partly because we need more bald Tango, and partly cause I couldn’t get hair look right on him. LoL

10)Etho runs the aquarium gift shop! Shade-E E’s

First time drawing XB and Keralis. Definitely gonna fiddle with the designs a bit, and I don’t like drawing characters from just the shoulders up on a big scale like this, but I figured I’d post it! The idea is that Keralis is hugging him, but maybe it’s a kiss. I don’t know.

Hermit aquarium au 6

Feast my children! FEAST!

Skizz nervously watched the large sea monster, who he now knew was named Impulse and didn’t actually want to harm him, swim up to him, looking to Zed only to realize the shorter man had walked off with Tango.

Skizz: W-Well Hi there, um, Impulse.

The Sea monster poked its head out of the water and sang a few low notes. Skizz had no idea what those notes could mean, but he figured he was supposed to just keep talking.

Skizz: My name is Skizz and I guess I’m gonna be your.. Keeper? 

He watched the Sea Monster’s reaction closely, it didn't seem upset or hostile. It seemed pretty calm in all honesty. It wasn’t lunging or opening its mouth or anything, so that was probably a win. 

He looked over it again, it was breathtaking to say the least, he hadn't really looked at it earlier and was now regretting it. It was big, bigger than a human, He would estimate about three meters long. Just the tail alone was the size of Skizz, long and smooth, like a dolphin’s, but a bright sunflower yellow. The fin was gorgeous as well, a bright purple full of frills. Five long golden tentacles extended from underneath it, tipped with glowing purple bulbs, three more extended from the severed arm. They waved slowly in the water, almost hypnotizingly smooth.

A small green Sea monster brushed through the tentacles, which latched onto it and pulled it up in the water at lightning speed, towards Impulse’s now open mouth.

Bdubs was generally very careful, being that he was the smallest sea monster in the prison. He would admit however, that he had been a little spaced out when he swam into impulse. It was better than swimming into jevin, considering it could take hours to clean off Jevin’s slime, but it was still very scary to be suddenly grabbed and tanked towards your friend’s open mouth. Impuls stopped just shy of eating him of course, but he was still startled.

Bdubs: Hey! 

Impulse: sorry Bdubs! I wasn’t looking where my tentacles were!

Bdubs: Yeah, I noticed.

Impulse: *wince*

Bdubs: *sigh* It’s fine, I wasn’t looking where I was swimming. Do you know if Etho is on duty today? I haven’t seen him.

Impulse: I don’t think he is. Every six days he doesn’t show up.

Bdubs: Oh, right. Weird guy. Oh! Is that your keeper? Did they finally get you one!?

Bdubs looked up at the human in curiosity and judgement

Impulse: yup

Bdubs: He’s.. interesting..

Impulse: what’s so wrong about him?

Bdubs: why is his mouth, just, open?

Impulse: He can close it! I think he’s just surprised.

Bdubs: oh! Good!

Impulse: Y’know, not everyone’s keeper has as strange of a mouth as yours.

Bdubs: Etho has a perfectly normal mouth!!!

Impulse: …

Bdubs: He showed me one time! He does!

Impulse: yeeaahhhh suuuureeeeeee….

The human started making all sorts of noises at them, seeming almost frantic. It hurt Bdubs’s ears.

Bdubs: make him shut up.

Impulse: his voice is kinda nice…

Bdubs: Seriously!? First XB and now you!? Just make him shut up!

Impulse: How?

Bdubs: I dunno! But he’s being annoying.

Impulse: Okay okay! How about…

Impulse lunged.

Hermit Aquarium Au 5

(4 is beneath this one)

Tango swam out of the feeding tank into Impulse's tunnel, grateful for the fact the Prison let Aequorians roam the tanks freely on days with no visitors.

Tango: You here?

Impulse: Tango! What’s up?

Tango: They got you a keeper.

Impulse: really?

Tango: Yup! He’s pretty boring looking, Has nice eyes though.

Impulse: oh! I think he came by earlier, ran off screaming for some reason. Do you know if I did anything wrong? I just looked at him.

Tango: Did something touch a nerve? Cause you know how Land monsters react when they first see you get triggered.

Impulse: oh, wait, yeah. That actually makes so much sense.

Tango trilled and wrapped his tail around Impulse’s, the other Aequorian was terrible at remembering how scared he made Land monsters. It was pretty funny.

Tango: Wanna visit the Hub?

Impulse: Yeah! Maybe Ren will be giving out extra food today.

Tango: Yeah. Zed fed me Tuna again.

The two untangled their tails and started through the maze of tunnels and Tanks to the Hub. It was a wonderful place. A large shallow pool covered by a skylight and with just enough deeper areas for the larger Aequorians. A few on Duty Land monsters were sitting by the waters edge, Including Zed and the new human.

Tango: Zed!

Impulse: Slow down, you’ll slam into the wall again if you keep up that speed.

Zed perked up at the sight of them and made one of those strange barking sounds Land monsters used to communicate. The land monster next to him looked at Impulse and flinched.

Tango: C’mon Impy! Talk to him!

Impulse: I dunno.. He seems scared of me..

Impulse swam behind Tango in a few lazy strokes. Tango smacked his gills with his tail.

Impulse: Ow! Not fair dude!

Tango: Talk to him!

Zed: *Vague Human noises of agreement*

Tango smiled as Impulse reluctantly approached the new Land Monster, Swimming away happily to a deeper area, Zed trailing behind. 

Tango Liked Zed, he talked to him a lot even though they couldn’t understand each other. When they had first been introduced Tango was still getting used to captivity in the prison, but he had to admit it was nice getting fed every day without needing to work. Plus he could nag Zed if he fed him something he disliked, like Tuna. Zed would also slip him little bits of things to tinker with and he had an entire little factory of rudimentary machines in his cave.But that didn’t mean he was about to acknowledge the land monster, he had fed him Tuna after all.

Hermit Aquarium AU 4

Skizz was Terrified. His first day on the job meeting his assignment and it had already tried to eat him! Not on his bucket list that was for sure. So much for a “Docile” Sea monster. He finally got away from the singing monster, ending up in a much larger room with a catwalk over a tank of water, a shorter man was looking over the edge and talking to something in the water.

Zed: C’mooooonnnnn It was an accident! I swear I didn’t mean to give you Tuna instead of Salmon, I just grabbed a bucket!!! 

A very annoyed looking sea monster swims to the surface and makes a few high pitched trills. Skizz isn’t entirely sure he should be here, but as soon as he starts to back up the sea monster notices him.

Zed: What Is it Tango- Oh! We have a guest! Hello there!

The man skips over.

Skizz: S- Sorry for intruding, I’m new and-

Zed: And you got lost? No big deal! Everyone gets lost on their first day. I’m Zedaph and the fishy guy is Tango.

Skizz: Oh! Well, is he, um, nice?

Zed: Tango is very nice! As long as you don’t feed him the wrong type of fish. He gets really angry if you do that for some reason.

The sea monster, Tango apparently, makes a louder Trill, as if trying to Regain Zed’s attention. It fans out the fins around its ears, a brilliant scarlet fan around its frighteningly pale skin.

Zed: Sorry Tango! Didn't mean to talk like you weren’t in the room! C’mon Mr.new guy! Tango wants to talk!

Skizz anxiously follows Zed further out on the catwalk, Nearly having a heart attack when The Sea monster jumps out of the water and looks him up and down judgmentally. Zed eagerly sneaks up behind it and tackles it, causing the sea monster to let out a single sharp note before falling back into the water, Zed still clinging to its back.

Zed: Wooohoooooo!!!!!!!!

Skizz: Are you okay!?

Zed lets go of Tango, who very happily swims away, and surfaces, swimming over to the catwalk and pulling himself up onto it.

Zed: I’m fine, it’s just a little game we play.

Skizz: oh, okay..

Zed: anyways, you’re assigned to Impulse right?

Skizz: The one without an arm? Yeah. 

Zed: Have you met him yet?

Skizz: well, I was walking by his tank and he tried to eat me so…

Zed: Impulse would never! I mean, Doc or Cleo yeah, but Impulse? Nononononono. Impulse is really docile unless- Ohhhhh I think I know what happened! Those little dangling things? Those are like sensors, and if something touches them.. Nom nom nom. Well, as far as my experiments have found out all they do is open his mouth and make him lunge a bit, he decides if he wants to eat the thing-

Skizz: what? That was a lot of info-

Zed: … He wasn’t trying to eat you! 

Skizz: Oh, ok, much easier to understand.

Zed: Do you need directions to the hub?

Skizz: the what-now?

Zed: it’s a big pool that the Sea monsters can access from their tanks! It’s a communal area of sorts. The aquarium is closed today so most Sea monsters and on-duty workers should be hanging out there.

Skizz: yeah, instructions would be nice..

I’m not especially proud of this or anything, but I figured I’d share it. He’s part; Butterfly, Snow leopard, creeper, goat, human(?), cyborg, and whatever else I feel like adding in the future. Yes, he is 15 feet tall, I headcanon that he grows like a plant and needs to tweak his code to keep him a reasonable size.

Also His bio-dad is Krampus. I will die on this hill. I have like, five different backstories for this guy and my favorite is the one where Krampus is his dad
