The other night husband and I were watching a documentary about the yeti where they were doing DNA analysis of samples of supposed yeti fur, and every one of them came back as bears.

Anyway, the next night we watched a thing about some pig man who is supposed to live in Vermont. People said it had claws and a pig nose but walked upright like a man. Now, I happen to know that sideshows used to shave bears and present them as pig men. So every piece of evidence they gave of this monster sounds to me like a bear with mange.

So now the running joke in our house is that everything is bears. Aliens? Bears. Loch Ness monster? Bear. Every cryptozoological mystery is just a very crafty bear.

Bears. They’re everywhere. Be wary. Anyone or anything could be a bear.

Due to aptx shrinking his body up and down, Conan's stuck in a perpetual small stature. It doesn't help that he's lost interest in taking care of himself, in lieu of solving cases at his part time work at the police station.

He's stuck, jaded. An adult trapped in a child's body, who feels like everyone's going on forward ahead without him.

HOMECOMING AU- Kaito discovers that Pandora wasn't a gem but a secret operation headed by Interpol--- who sought him out after seeing his skills surpass his father's. so he continues working as Kid and holds heists with interpol funding. (Think something like Kingsman.) It's a poorly kept secret b/w them; Conan tries not to pry but Kaito is just bad at keeping this one a secret.

ACTOR AU: Kaito is meticulous with becoming a magician with his own merit--- he does odd jobs in tandem with street performances, works at backstage theatre until he accidentally finds himself being pipelined into a small-time actor for a web-series of sorts. He gets famous and uses that to propel himself as a magician.

In all aus, Conan wants to keep their relationship a secret. Less about himself and more about not wanting to damage Kaito's budding reputation as a magician.

Kaito calls Conan: Tantei-kun / Meitantei interchangeably

In some au's, Conan has come to dislike hearing Kaito call him Meitantei--- seeing himself as not anyone great or famous. His pride had become his downfall-- or something like that. ^^

In other au's, Kudou Shinichi isn't dead, and Conan uses his old name shamelessly to get things he wants, and also armchair solve cases.

Also some other au: where Conan, unable to accept the reality of Kudou Shinichi never coming back, seeks out Kid for physical comfort, because the thief sees him for who he is. But Kid holds his last heist and extends an invitation for Conan to meet Kaito, except Conan feels betrayed by it and ignores him. And some kind of meeting at a distinguished party, when they're 20/30 and sparks fly and yeah.

Thanks to raging teenage hormones, Conan has higher libido & impulses than the old man. uv u/

I think "no hatewatching" is a good policy to have, but less because you have to deprive Big Media Corp of your $15 or whatever for a movie ticket, which makes very little difference to them, and more because you should not, for your own spiritual health, waste your time on movies that you know are bad and/or you will not enjoy.

Surround yourself with what is true and good and beautiful. Avert your eyes from what is cheap and soulless and ugly.
