Loki S2E3 Spoilers ❗️❗️❗️

You know, I was thinking about that scene in front of the statues of Baldur, Odin and Thor.

Or more so, about Loki’s reaction to it.

Mobius reminds Loki that he’s one of the Norse Gods. An Asgardian God.

And then we get this somber moment, with the beautiful and sad music (which appears also in season 1 and plays when Loki is reminded of his home).

And in my interpretation, in that moment Loki struggles with his identity once again. I think that he looks out at the statues and thinks about the fact that. He’s not Asgardian. He’s a Frost Giant from Jotunnheim.

Of course he often reminds others, that he’s Asgardian, and Asgard is his home. But I don’t think that Loki fully believes this.

But what he does believe. Is that if he says something a hundred times, it will become true and he’ll believe it.

And so he desperately hopes that it’s true, because he wants to believe it.

Of course he cuts off this line of thinking by making a quick jab at Thor. Acting as all is well and normal.

But the thought lingers, that he wasn’t Asgardian enough to be depicted on that pillar beside his father and brother.

Idk just some post episode thoughts 🤷‍♀️ I enjoyed this episode and I’m happy that the show stays entertaining. In the past with some other marvel shows, by episode 3 or 4, I remember that the plot got dull and the pace slowed. But it seems that Loki won’t have that problem, for now. I am really glad that it’s going so well ❤️

MARVEL PROMPT TIME :D

Prompt: Loki has been an avenger for a few months now, became friends with Clint (He settled their differences and argued that everyone on the avengers got a second chance, so Loki himself should too.), and is making progress making amends with Thor. (Thor has already forgiven Loki, but allows Loki to sort out his feelings and helps him repair damages done.)

One thing about Loki, however, is that he doesn't ever speak up when he needs something he deems a weakness. That being affection, medical attention, or help with anything that confuses him. He seeks nothing out for affection, believing he doesn't deserve it and it makes him weak, he patches himself up after every battle, and if anything confuses him he seeks the knowledge by himself. He just... doesn't understand how to ask for any of it.

One thing that Loki wanted most nowadays was simple, hugs. Loki loves hugs, to be held and feel safe. But more than that, Loki loves to be carried. To be picked up and carried around, held protectively in the person's arms. He missed feeling safe, feeling wanted, although he didn't know how to approach the topic with anyone. So he remained silent about it.

That was until Hulk had picked him up after a battle, when Loki had fractured his knee and was unable to walk. He froze in place with any protests he was about to speak dying in a instant. All the Avengers were immediately concerned, then watched in surprise as Loki calmed down and snuggled up to Hulk. Purring and smiling. Almost in a drunk state, slowly drifting to sleep.

Thor later explains why Loki acted the way he did, throwing in Loki's struggle with being open about what he needs. The Avengers understood everything and unanimously decided to help Loki, by giving him hugs when they could. From Natasha giving Loki a hug from behind, Tony pulling him to cuddle on the couch, to Clint snatching Loki up and carrying him around the tower, no one let Loki feel unsafe or unloved within their home. Cause Loki was family now too.

Do you have any headcanons for a baby Loki? (You can interpret this how you want by the way, for example you could either write for like a 6 month old Loki or a 2 year old Loki or just any age, whatever you prefer ^^)

my friend, i have headcanons for days and for every version of Loki in my head 🤓☝🏻

i go with any age, but for this let’s say around the 6-18 month range that we talked about:

he loves blankets and has an endless supply, but his favourite one is a plain forest green that he calls “baba”

his favourite paci is a white one he calls “meh-meh”

once he shakes off the post-nap grumps with a bottle, he gets the zoomies

loves to be held at all ages, but especially when he feels sleepy

he curls and uncurls his fingers in Thor’s shirt

will put his building blocks in his mouth, you can’t stop him

likes to sit at comfort person’s feet while they’re sitting at the table or sofa

likes to sit on Thor’s chest when they first wake up and babble to him

cuddly boy <3

just want to clarify that almost all of these come from fics i’m writing! i have a couple bigger ones in the works that have larger storyline’s to them and i’ll have seperate one shots in between too :)

i’ll even give you a couple hc’s to go with it:

• loki has trouble napping in the office, so he gets very grumpy and fussy. mobius tries to get him home or to the archives, where it’s more quiet and private. on some occasions however, loki will simply fall asleep at mobius’ feet, like a puppy.

• loki loves to play with moby’s tie :)
