Food for Thought
"I think in life we don't always get to be treated right in the past, but we always have choice to be wise. Life should make us better, not bitter. We can always make choice to take the win-win solution. No matter how angry we are, we don't have to be cruel. Don't ever let the world take the sweetness of ourselves, ever, believe in hope for better things. Love people, use things, and not the way around."

I'm letting go of people that don't treat me right. I'm letting go of grudges. I forgive because I deserve happiness and respect for myself.
Food For Thought: Let it Go?
Today on Food For Thought, SoulPancake wants to talk to our fans about letting it go- no, we’re not talking about the song from Frozen- but, rather getting rid of our mental baggage. What’s the biggest hurdle you need to overcome?
Sometimes it’s hard to forgive and forget. We hoard onto memories and continually let them affect us. What’s one thing you’re holding onto that you should let go?

Spent time with people you love

Growing up in multicultural family, I love differences. As Stephen Covey said, “Strength lies in differences, not in similarities.” I couldn’t help but notice how I look different from my grandparent, but I love them from my heart.
This year, my grandfather and my grandmother passed away. Death is never easy, not only for the ones who passed away, but also for those who left behind. I believe that my grandfather and my grandmother are in better place with God, and they’re free from all the sufferings.
My grandfather taught me valuable life principles and I admire him for that. He is a kind person yet firm in making decisions. He is open minded and always respect people regardless their background. He taught me to work hard and to be grateful to God no matter what the circumstances. My grandfather has integrity and he taught me to dream big and chase those dreams. He was there for me when I was in my toughest times and my good times. He is a father for me, a close friend of mine, and I’ll always love him wherever he are now.
One memorable person that also passed away few days ago is my grandmother. She is a humble person and has a great sense of humour. I remember when we were travelling together, she always treat me right and encourage me to try new things. She rarely complains if she has tough times and she still smile when she was sick. I love her attitude.
The most important thing which I love from them is both of them have good heart and they lived their life in the best way they can and touch other people’s life in meaningful way. I’m so lucky and grateful to be their granddaughter and I didn’t have regret because I always make time for them. They might not be here anymore, but I’ll do my best to live my life with great principles which they taught me, and I know they’re always live in my heart.
I just want to say, if you have free time, or not, please do make time for the people you love, let them know that you love them, because you’ll never know when they’re gonna still be around. Meet up with them, call them, chat with them, because nothing worse than regret.
As James Taylor said, “Shower the people you love with love, show them the way you feel, things are going to be much better if you will.”

Magic.
There is magic in life and we're lucky to meet some people who create that magic in our life.
People who will make life feel worthwhile with colors. I love seeing people by looking inside through their soul. And to me, the most attractive thing from a person is the soul.
A beautiful soul will never die, cause it has eyes to see life from unique perspective.
I hope we will always remember that life is too short, and at the end of the day we feel a lot of magic in our life and can say it with meaningful words that "I lived."
Inspired by "I Lived" by One Republic.
