“Bathed in Starlight”

Title taken from “Daydrunk” by Lambia :3

I had the idea for this character when I just thought of the concept of a being made from the stars/stardust. It’s a fun concept even just on the surface, but then I started thinking on the specifics of how that would work.

Now, I’d assume it would work like how stars are made, with stardust condensing into a new star :3. But then I remembered that stardust comes from supernovas, or stars dying. So I got the idea to have this space bunny surrounded by stars and stardust, blurred and out of focus. In its hands is a single star, in focus, a solemn look on its face. Perhaps it was a friend, and loved one. Who knows. It’s just floating in space, surrounded by the fragmented remains of loved and now lost ones.

The name I came up with this character is more of a title, as a creature not of this world wouldn’t follow our typical naming conventions. So technically, its name is “The One who Remembers”, as it remembers all who died so others can be made. Said title can be shortened to like… “Rem” (reminiscent of the REM cycles of which have an effect on our memory when we sleep) or “Ember” (for the fact that they were born of the dying embers of another, revitalized into new life.)

Minus all this thinking though, it’s just a space bunny in space.
