Lore time!! Here’s a giant wall of text for all the lovely theorists out there ;) This panel(s) is huge, so it took absolutely forever, but I got a lot of help, which was really nice :) And I’m debuting one of my 3D models! The Kaleidoscope in and of itself took me months to make. Because it’s so complicated, it needed a pretty advanced reference, aka an entire posable model I made in Blender. But now that it’s done, I can pose it for just about whatever angle we’ll need it for in the future!

Thank you all for being so patient with me. We’re almost at Act 4 now!!

I dunno was it asked before or not, but will there be any translations of your blog? (Both with your help or by random person)

I can’t translate anything myself, since I only know English, but I know someone has been making a Russian translation of EtC on VK! It hasn’t been updated in a while, but it’s super well done, I’m always so surprised by how clean it looks, and they even try to use the same fonts for dialogue as I do! Anywho, I’m open to helping make translations if there’s an interest! As long as I’m properly credited, I’m just about always okay with fanworks and stuff. It makes me really happy that there’s such an interest in my comic, even from people who speak other languages :)

Out of curiosity, what are you studying in college? Are you an art student :0?

Technically, yes! I’m studying Animation and Visual Effects! ^^ Its a four year program, and I’m mostly learning 3D Animation, like CGI and stuff! Meaning I’m learning how to model, rig, and animate, mostly in Maya, with some 2D fundamentals like anatomy and composition sprinkled in :) I’d been learning how to model in Blender for about a year prior, and I’ve been having a great time, so I wanted to study it full-time. I’ve been doing 2D art my entire life, a regular fine arts program wouldn’t be able to teach me what I want to learn, I feel. 3D is a completely new world for me, where I can really bring my characters and ideas to life. I’ve already been using it to create some future assets for EtC! ;) So, yeah! It’s been pretty great so far! I should really show off some of the stuff I’ve been working on on my art blog sometime :)

Hey Mxs.(I think that's what you liked to go by, sorry of not) Mello, I just wanted to ask, you are ok, right? I don't know you too much but you have not gone two months without posting I don't think, not even just personal asks. I assume you are working on the next panels and stuff but I just want to make sure you are still here and ok.

Yes, don’t worry, I’m doing just fine :) August was hectic, as it is every year, and I recently started college! So I’ve been very busy ^^; We have made some good progress on panels recently, though! Sketches are just about done, so I’ll be able to get to lining and coloring once I get some free time. Working on my passion project sounds like a nice break.

College has been a lot of busywork, but I’ve been absolutely thriving :) I’ve always loved learning, and being in school again has been so liberating. After being pretty much stuck at home for 3 years, due to the current state of the world screwing me over, (thanks 2020,) then mental health issues on top of that, (namely depression,) it’s just. So nice to be up and about again. I honestly think the only reason I’ve survived these past 3 excruciating years has been because of this comic, and you, the wonderful community, who found worth in me and this silly ask blog I made to tide over my boredom. So thank you, sincerely. I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for us!

So. Latest story post turned out to be way longer than I anticipated?? No wonder it’s been taking so long ^^; But here’s half of it! Still working on the other half, but I’m finally letting Erik help me with the art after trying to do nearly everything by myself like a dummy for almost 3 years so hopefully the next bit will be out much sooner!!

Gonna try my hand at Art Fight again this year :) I’m going to be applying for college soon in July, so I’m unsure how much I’ll be able to do this year, but we’ll see—- Have a good Art Fight, everyone!

Wanted to draw one of my favorite guys~ This was supposed to be a quick piece as a test, since I don’t draw my OCs for EtC in my regular style much, but. This ended up taking 6 hours instead of 1, whoops ^^; I’m proud of this though, I may continue drawing Watch’s scars this way. They look a lot more realistic—- I’ll probably draw Father Time in this style as well soon :)

As for EtC itself, I finally buckled and am letting Erik help me with art! Next update is kind of a doozy, especially for the lore, not to mention life has been getting in the way, so that’s why it’s taking so long, sorry ^^; I’ll spare you from more rambling, but it’s in the works!

I feel so old—- This video is 4 years old now. Insanity. This was my first video to actually get traction on YouTube, it’s crazy that it’s been so long already. I’m so glad I don’t have to draw with my finger anymore, I think this animatic single-handedly killed my wrist at the time. Anywho, no big updates on panel progress today, (I’m doing online classes for art improvement and comic planning, I think that technically counts as progress??) but know that I’m dusting off my old Dave shirt for the day :)

I think it’s finally safe to talk about this now that both of these blogs have been deleted (yay!!)

Over these past couple weeks, the team and our Discord members, myself included, have also been targeted by this person, (yes these two blogs were run by the same person,) and we’ve been doing our best to quietly fight against all these false accusations. When dealing with bullies like this, it’s usually best not to give them any attention, just report and block them, but it’s been rather hard, considering some of our members were targeted much worse than others. A few people have been sent Anon hate mail, and were even sent hateful comments on other platforms, like AO3 and Twitter, to go around our blocks. I also know many others not associated with us were hit with some really messed up shit, like trying to accuse some folks in the fandom of faking having autism, being trans, or having DID. I really try not to swear on here, but this is really fucking disgusting. Please know that you are all safe and loved here on this blog, no matter your identity, and don’t let some asshat on the internet who knows nothing about you try to tell you who you are.

I wasn’t hit very hard in comparison, but I was told to “quit this whole art thing,” and after they found out I blocked them because of this, I was pinned as a “white trashy proshitter supporter” :/ Needless to say, everything this asshole was spewing is total bs, but that doesn’t mean it didn’t still hurt people. Many people. I’m hoping Tumblr finally responded to all of our reports and brought the ban hammer down on them, but it’s hard to say. Either way, I’m very happy this is all over ^^ It’s a good idea to stay on the lookout in case they come back, but it finally feels safe here again, and I’m sure many of us in the THSC fandom feel the same way. The lesson here is, the THSC fandom is still going strong, and some asshole who has nothing better to do than harass us all day can’t take us down!

@mamaainttakinshit and @thatoneanontumbuser, block them, on sight. They're hate blogs whose main focus is hating thsc and making sure EVERY blog which even slightly likes it knows about that, If they find someone making fanart they say something like "the thsc fandom isneither dead ir burning so leave now" and if they find an askblog they try to "Expose" the plot or just straight up insult the mod.

There's no redemption for them, don't interact, don't like, don't even give them any attention. Just Block, and maybe report for Hate Speech if you want.

The fic/novelized version of Government Mello is finally up on AO3! Thank you to everyone who waited so patiently for me to post this, I finally put together the tags and a summary I’m happy with, so if you would like to read more of Erik and I’s work, here’s the first big thing we worked on together!

Next EtC update is a big one, so I’m taking a lot of breaks in between to work on other projects, and this is one of them—- The entire first book of Gov Mello is written out and waiting for editing, so I’ll probably update this every once in a while between posts now that the fic is properly up on AO3. This story is very near and dear to our hearts, we hope you enjoy the read ^^
