VA here! Man, I still love your Vi even though Val and commissions has taken you from her. I love both of your characters, don't get me wrong teehee. I love your art and it's always a wonderful experience to see you on my dash :D I miss all your ships since they were so well developed ;w; but things happen. Hopefully we'll see more wonderful writing of yours :D

A (belated) short drabble set in the Resistance AU, centered around post-war Pulsefire Ezreal.

Pulse. Fast. Cold sweat. Seventy-four percent. Nausea. His legs twisted into the contorted fabric of space, like a knife in a fresh wound. There was something he once liked about Piltover–it never looked the same twice. And this time, he was going to be the one to change it. Eighty percent. 

A rifle clattered onto the ground, darker than the flies that feasted on the fetid remains. The putrid stench of his festering lungs and the molten sky above the wasteland stopped his thoughts. Metal. Dust. Bodies. His stomach churned like boiling acid. Putrefaction. He wanted to move. He couldn’t. 

Thirty-seven percent.

There was nothing that could prepare the Hero for saying goodbye to those that stood with him in this losing battle. With every step they took, with every breath they struggled to breathe through ash and smoke, the Hero knew where his path would take him. And here, he was separated from those that also knew this same truth. He would continue alone. With one final look, it was all it took to solidify the understanding between the soldier he had called partner in the world before this hell. Maurice knew all to well what that nod meant, Jayce was sure of it. Yet his lips parted and through the helmet’s distortion, his voice came through the com. 

“Mr. Shields…?” The Piltovian’s voice so horribly unlike his own with that golden helmet on his head. “Yes?” He heard the man faintly reply.

“It was a pleasure to work with you…” He said so tenderly as he gripped the shape of the Mercury Hammer with firm hands. “… One last time.” And that was it. His jaw began to shake and his eyes shuttered closed as he nodded once more towards his former partner and took off into the depths of where he knew the Machine Herald– No, the Creator hid. He was not a social celebrity that the people adored, no. Today, he was Piltover’s hero and he would sure as hell try to finish this the way he had before. 

One. Swing…

They were cursed, wicked, misguided, and violent. Some say the bullets that ended their lives cleansed away the darkness that had already consumed them.

But every life is riddled with much complexity, and they were no exception. Despite this darkness, they have filled their lives with friends, rivals, family, and partners. Death, no matter how sparkly, cannot cleanse away darkness, only spread it. And so, Death may never be beautiful, and it may never be perfect.

@enforcedviolence had one of the biggest impacts on me ever since I got to involve myself with her. The mun is a blast to talk with, and her art is very pretty to look at. She isn’t all that active anymore, but she will always have a special spot in my heart.
