Fuck-tailed Flycatcher This flycatcher is from the tropics, but many show up annually in North America, some reaching as far as the North Eastern seaboard, even into Canada. It’s impossible to predict exactly where they will appear though, because the dumbshits who show up here were trying to migrate from southern South America to Mexico. What a bunch of fuck-ups.

Great look into a comic retrospective.

While on book tour, I visited Salem and got to see the House of Seven Gables! So I am pumped on Hawthorne. How many people have had to read this and suffer essays over the pink ribbons and etc? I used to think that for literature to be REAL it pretty well had to be chock-full of allegory and symbols. But for real, I do love it when my comics get used in a classroom setting, and I often hear from teachers who do that to warm the class up to a topic. That’s great! I should ask for a list of books to cover for this reason. Feel free to email, teachers!

Moleskine Doodles

Philippines-based illustrator Kerby Rosanes doodles away in Moleskein notebooks and the results are amazing.  After a number of art and design blogs picked up the story last year, his career took off, and the self-taught 23-year-old found himself creating illustrations for Nike, Mazda, and Ford.
