Darf ich in Berlin bleiben, solang ich lebe?

Ich weiß, dass ich mich in Berlin verliebt habe.
Vielleicht sind alle Hauptstädte egal, aber ich fühle, dass Berlin etwas besonderes hat: man fühlt eine Stadt die geteilt war, und die jetzt für jedermann offen ist. Ist es wahr, dass das Gras auf der anderen Seite immer grüner ist? Nein, und das ist, was ich gelernt habe. Diese Reise hat mir die Möglichkeit gegeben, Italien und Deutschland zu vergleichen: mein Heimatland hat so viele Dinge zu lernen, z.B. die Integration und die Organisation, die in Deutschland (fast) perfekt sind, aber es gibt ein paar Dinge, die man nur in Italien finden kann, z.B. die Kunst oder die Zuneigung der Einwohner. Ich glaube, das ist die Schönheit dieses Projekts: zu verstehen, was im seinen Land funktioniert und was besser sein könnte, zu schätzen, was gut ist, und nicht zu schätzen, was schlecht ist.
Berlin, ich danke dir für die Menschen, die ich kennengelernt habe, für deine gastfreundliche Seele, für meine nette Gastmutter und Mitarbeiterinnen. Mit dem Herz danke ich denjenigen, die jeden Tag arbeiten, um diese Projektes mögliche zu machen.
I know I fell in love with Berlin.
Capital cities may all be the same, but I feel like Berlin has got something different: you can feel a city which was divided in two parts and now is open to every outsider. But, is it true that the grass is always greener on the other side? It isn’t, and that’s what I learnt. This trip gave me the opportunity to compare Italy and Germany: my motherland has so much stuff to learn, for example acceptance and organisation, which are quite perfect in Germany, but there are some things that you will always be able to find in Italy and nowhere else, for example art and the warmth of the people. This is the beauty of these projects: figuring out what works in a Country, and what may be better, appreciating what’s good and not appreciating what’s bad.
Berlin, I thank you for the people who I got to know, for your welcoming soul, for my kind guest-mother and co-workers. I kindly thank those who work every day to make these projects possible.
