A tear-swap au - Tear's AU but underswapped - Papyrus and Sans switch roles, etcetera. Napstablook and Mettaton would switch roles, and adding what's in the story, he escapes and possesses the wooden doll-ish body, which I think is referring to wooden pose mannequins?

which kinda fits the underswap part, because not only do the pose mannequins kinda look like a Papyrus with enough painting (instead of a sans who's stitched together), and if Ink and Error's roles are also swapped, those could be found in wherever swapped Ink resides, bc art supplies

I think a wooden doll as a Papyrus shaped body is such a wonderful idea. IT ACTUALLY WORKS SO WELL body structure wise and would be a really fun design to imagine. I like this little concept actually. Everything being swapped does give it that fun twist and new perspectives. I even like your little bit with it extending outside the AU, with Ink and Error too haha.

Don't worry if something exists or not, because you aren't actively trying to copy anyone. So whatever you end up doing, it will realistically end up different. You have different skills, different life experiences, different story telling and imagine the scenes differently. Constantly worrying if something is original will just put you on edge and make you unmotivated. It's not that important.

Understand that certain tropes exist BECAUSE they are loved. No one calls them unoriginal because everyone brings a new spark to the table. In fact, some seek out more of said tropes.

Do ANYTHING that makes the AU fun for YOU. The more fun you have, the more inspired you get for your own project.

What you like > chasing what you assume others will like

Brains are stupid and you need to tell them to shush. Allow yourself to just have mindless fun. No one will snipe you if you say your character is missing a portion of their soul because it's been done before

Shrimp, you... YOU -shakes you- YOU ALWAYS GO ABOVE AND BEYOND WITH YOUR PIECES. I love how your shading comes in tiny spots of multiple colors. And it's mixed with two types, one that looks more like a painterly approach and one that has those pop art dots. There is so much texture everywhere and lineart is the only thing that breaks it, but in such an appealing way. You are adding so much detail into it and it's so GORGEOUS. Nodding my head so hard at all the people that already screamed about the colors and BG because it is so well deserved. It's a piece to gasp for. And the general idea is so warm and fun. I love how Forest looks, I love how Tear looks. I wanna scream and cry simultaneously. This fills me with so much happiness your honor. I ADORE THIS STYLE OF YOURS

ok so i said back in march or april that i had an idea for a drawing with forest and tear?? after restarting it multiple times and finally deciding to finish this one (though it went through like 5 different artstyles •-•’) and so there it is?? :DD

A friend asked me what cat breed I think they would be for an art project of theirs, so I ended up asking which one they would assign me too. Things escalated and I drew my friend group as if we are in warrior cats. Way too wholesome and this is way too cute. OMG I LOVE HOW EACH SCENE IS AN EVENT THAT HAPPENED. LIKE A THEATER DISPLAY OF EVENTS. You made it even better by making it all be out of cardboard and pieces stuck on sticks or rope. No wonder it took a lot of effort THIS IS FANTASTIC ✨✨✨I love that each panel drops tears from above on a specific music part. I like how the cutscenes is a differently colored cardboard going up and down. I did NOT EXPECT SOMETHING LIKE THIS. OMG IF ONLY I COULD SCREAM TO YOU HOW HAPPY THIS MADE ME TO SEE. I made this with a lot of effort and love, it was made for Tear birthday but I couldn't do it the same day, but I said to myself "Better late than never" and decided to do this to show how important Tear existence is for me, for us.. and I hope you like this!!

Since I discovered Tear existence, he meant a lot to me.. besides becoming my favorite sans, I took Tear as a comfort character and of course he is the favorite of many!!

People may stop and relate to them, or pity them, but nobody ever stays. Because they’d just be holding them back, right? They just don’t have that much to offer.

Sans. The jokester. The salesman. The one guy everybody knows. His puns, his pranks, his ever-present smile… whenever he comes around, the room just lights up. He’s got so many friends, and for good reason. He’s just SO much fun, even they can’t help but get swept up in it sometimes. Practically the entire Underground loves him. 

He’s never sad. He’s never lonely. He never has to worry about saying the wrong thing or making the wrong move. He never has to dread that the days will keep slipping past in one monotonous blur. He never has to wonder where all his family and friends went. If it was his fault, somehow. If they’ll never come back. If maybe they’re all better off that way.

OMG? WHAT???? I'M SO BLOWN AWAY BY THE SONG. I love how more elements are added to it the longer the song goes and the melody is addicting. It's really hard to word myself when it comes to music, as I don't know much, but I AM IN ABSOLUTE AWE. I could listen to this for AGES. And it sets such a good mood for the fic. It sounds upbeat but like something spirals. Thoughts mby. Does that make sense dbnsmsbid? And I love how you don't actually say what the 'silly idea' is, but we all know because of the story and the image. That was A REALLY COOL DECISION. I adore how you wrote Sans from Napstablook's perspective and how they put themselves down, seeing themselves as too boring, sad and simple. The mood in everything slaps like crazy. I DID NOT RECOVER FROM IT YET. The drawing that follows both is also awesome. Subtly adds that explanation of 'silly idea'. I like that Tear isn't actually smiling so it looks like a reflection of wonder and what 'could be'. And the way you drew Tear OMG. The roundness of the face, the hood, EVERYTHING. SO SHAPE /POS. But fr everything is in the mood of each media you used, complementing eachother. Am beyond amazed. I'm also addicted to listening to the song now. Awwwwwww I love the concept of this. A drawing of multiple 'paper cutouts', yet it has airbrush kind of shading. Even the star is a fun addon and I love how it changes the colors around. This could all definitely work as a poster of sorts. I just REALLY LOVE THE VIBES OF IT. The BG is a fun combo with the repeating drawing cause it gives it a lil more detail and stars are matching the big one. Feels organized so well and I like this mimicking of traditional collage with notebook lines. Feels cozy and fun. I love the Blooky stick too hahaha. SUPER PRETTYYYYYYYY. I LOB THE SHADING AND THE IDEA. VERY NOMMABLE AND SOOOOOO COOL

You will become the next Ccino Sans if you continue at this rate. I want to snuggle some cats too tho -pushes Lime to the side- it's my turn /silly. I love how all cats have 'if lost return to _' tags somewhere. They all also look so pretty and I'm loving how you designed so many. You did an awesome job with the flowers actually. Also glasses of Brunnera. Aurora really stands out with the pretty gradients. Loving how there are spots of it across the whole body. And Rezmo with the wide white eyes and short tail dfgdfgs <3. And ofc I already said it but Tear with Blooky shapes in the ears and the usual scarf. I love how many you did. It truly became a collection. I'm still losing it the most at the drawing of Tear napping. I want to squish that cat /ref. I really like the yellow/red edges of Lime too. But how dare you ban me from art smh smh. That's so mean. I will explode without my ability to hold a pen. Lob how you did the hair and horns tho. Also the big grinning expressions are soooooooo good. Even the cats having their own unique ones. No wonder it all took a long time, but it's so cool to see this aaaaaa. IT'S SO AWESOME

Serafina (my actual cat) belongs to me, as does my persona, Lime. A little about Lime is that she’s actually not a very innocent, cutesy person like I’ve been drawing her as lately. If you believe she’s innocent and friendly, then she’s succeeded in her job. She is the part of me that enjoys putting ocs through trauma, though everybody has a soft spot and hers is cats (especially mine). The reason Serafina is so angry-looking is because my cat actually grabs my clothes with her claws when I try to walk away after petting her. Possessive cat; even more possessive owner (not really. I’m just very attached to her).

Also, I will not apologize for drawing you with hooves, Eri. No more pen-holding privileges. /silly

(Rambling below)

It was torturous doing Aurora’s markings, but was also very rewarding when I got it done. The shading is different on almost every character because I did it on different days and chose not to shade the way I’d been doing (also forgot to shade some characters before starting the next one). I also had a difficult time doing the flowers on Brunnera because I don’t draw flowers often.

I liked doing this project and will certainly be doing something like this again, just not anytime soon. My program storage is full, so I have to figure that out if I don’t want to be annoyed every time it takes three minutes to load.
