Hi, esselley....thank you so much for answering my asks. I'm really excited because some of my fav anime series are your favorite as well....if you don't mind me asking, why are your top 5 favorite haikyuu characters are kageyama, hinata, tsukishima, ushijima and kita (your reasons)? Sorry if you've answered this question before.....

Hello! Sorry for my late reply! 

I have a long answer for why I like Kageyama and Hinata (equally) here!

For Tsukishima, his is one of my favorite character arcs in the series. I just feel like the emotional investment (for me) that comes with where he started vs where he ends up is so strong! I love cold characters who start to open up to the others around them, especially when they are really fond of their friends but don’t like to show it. Tsukishima has this with both volleyball and the rest of Karasuno, and I just find it so endearing! Also, that moment where he really falls in love with volleyball... gives me some of the biggest goosebumps in the series. It’s both the journey and the incredible way that scene is written, everything leading up to it - the storytelling and the character exploration combine to make him a standout for me!

For Ushijima, I basically am just a sucker for big blunt sincere characters who mean no harm but rub people the wrong way because they cannot properly express what they mean. His gap moe is too strong T^T reading all the ads in magazines and brutally telling people why they suck because he doesn’t realize you Shouldn’t Actually Say That, Wakatoshi... it makes my heart hurt XD I just love him

For Kita, that one really came out of left field, but I loved his character design and then HIS CHAPTER and what he has to say about being diligent and hardworking resonated with me so much!!! I really like how he is so serious but still looks out for the others and is really proud of them in his own way. Also after seeing him be so grounded and no nonsense and sort of emotionless, him bursting into tears when he is named captain and showing that he REALLY does feel deeply about the things he dedicates himself to and how rewarding it is when his efforts pay off despite him maybe not being a superstar or volleyball genius, pretty much ended me. Because I think it’s very relatable to want to be recognized and good at something, even if you aren’t the best at it. Love him <3
