slightly looking up, you see the prettiest boy you’d ever laid your eyes on. you turn your head to look at your friend, taehyun, and both of your eyes widen as you smile.

taehyun picks up his phone and starts typing up a message for you.

“you have to go talk to him, y/n”

you see your phone light up and pick it up while looking at him confused.

“oh my god i can’t do that” you type back

“why not”

“because i can’t😭 i never can it’s too embarassing”

“WHO CARES”

taehyun puts his phone down and looks up, sighing.

“y/n please” he said shaking his head, “when will you get this chance again, he’s very much your type”

you think for a little bit before saying, “hmm fine let’s go.” you stand up and taehyun looks at you with a blank stare.

“come on before i change my mind”

the two of you stood up and slowly made your way towards the pretty boy and his (also pretty) friend. as you got closer, the boy turned his head to look over at you.

“fuck he’s looking at us” you whisper to taehyun

“yeah he’s looking at me because we’re friends” he said with a smirk.

you stopped walking. “what-”

“TAEHYUN” you were cut off by the two boys calling your friend’s name.

confused, you quickly walked to catch up to them. after quickly glaring at taehyun, you smile at the two other boys.

“hi i’m y/n, nice to meet you”

the second pretty boy spoke up first. “i’m yeonjun, this is beomgyu”

pursing his lips, the first pretty boy, who is now called beomgyu, says, “i can speak for myself, thank you very much, but yes i am pretty hi beomgyu- no i am beomgyu hi y/n”

taehyun rolls his eyes, “nice job beomgyu i think that was one”

“i tried” beomgyu laughs.

you smile brightly at him and say, “it was pretty corny but i probably wouldn’t have said anything better”

“oh did you come over to flirt with me?” he teases.

“well no-”

“she did” taehyun chimes in.

“i did NOT, he’s the one that told me i should come over in the first place” you shoot him yet another glare.

ignoring it again, he continues, “yeah and why did i say it? you think i should tell him?”

“tell me what” beomgyu said smiling.

“tell you nothing! hey you wanna get some pretzels, i saw they made fresh ones when we were walking in” you say changing the subject and starting to walk away.

beomgyu follows you, “tell me what, hey wait slow down TELL ME WHAT!!!”

taehyun and yeonjun, now sitting down next to each other, watch as the two of you walked out laughing.

after almost a full year of working at your local cafè, you had become really close with your coworkers and they were some of your best friends, which made talking about your love lives come easy.

“i can’t believe i’ve been working here for 8 months and haven’t encountered even one cute customer” you sighed, wiping down the counter after a small rush.

“hey what about that guy from last week” your coworker, ricky, giggled.

“enough on that” you laughed and rolled your eyes thinking about the random man that was trying to flirt with you in front of his children.

as your shift slowly moved along, the two of you were becoming more tired and ready to clock out.

“i’m gonna run to the bathroom, you can handle being alone for a bit right?” you asked while untying your apron.

“yeah i’ll be fine but what if your soulmate walks in when you leave” ricky said giggling

“well-“ but you trailed off as you saw the prettiest boy you had ever laid your eyes on walk into the store.

quickly putting your apron back on, you slightly pushed ricky to the side. he was confused by your action before looking at the line behind the register and saw the same pretty boy at the end of it.

“the world was listening to your complaints huh”

after a couple minutes, it was finally the boy’s turn to order.

“hi! i’ve never been here before, what’s your favorite thing on the menu?” he said smiling brightly at you.

“i love the hazelnut latte! sometimes i mix it with a little bit of caramel and that always tastes really good as well” you say smiling back

“ooh, i’ll try that then!”

you reply back with a quick ‘okay’ and ring his order up. you hesitate before also adding your discount on his order.

the boy took out his card to pay, but noticed the discount and looked up at you, confused.

“since it’s your first time!” you say smiling.

he smiled back, a slight blush forming on his cheeks.

after he finished paying, you hand him his reciept and say, “your order number is 25, and you can pick up the drink on the left!”

he walks over to the side while you walk over to join ricky in preparing orders.

“so how was flirting with your new obsession”

“flirting?? obsession??”

“well knowing you, you’ll be thinking about him for the next couple months. bro’s gonna become ‘hazelnut latte with caramel boy’” ricky teased you, “and yes, flirting, you just gave that random kid a discount all because you think he’s cute, sorry, because ‘it’s his first time’ my ASS,” he snickered.

before you could reply, hazelnut latte with caramel boy walked up closer to the pick up counter, making eye contact with you. fixing your apron, you went up to him.

“hey i was wondering if you guys are by chance hiring? i’m new to town and have been looking for a job”

you slightly cheer on the inside, feeling ricky smirking next to you, and say, “yeah we are actually! you can just fill out the form through the qr code on the wall over there and you should get a call or text soon after”

ricky passes you the boy’s drink,

“and here’s your drink um …?”

“gyuvin!”

“.. gyuvin. i’m y/n! i hope next time i see you is your first shift!”

“me too, see you y/n!” he says picking up his drink and taking a sip. his eyes widen, “this is so good by the way, thank you!”

“see you and of course!”

you smile and turn to see ricky with his arms crossed and a smug look on his face.

“what?”

“hazelnut latte boy just became ‘coworker i’m in love with’”

“and after that, my boyfriend gyuvin”

— i only thought of a couple of these, so i chose the members i felt fit the best!

you always loved matthew’s taste in jewelry, so it wasn’t new for you to comment on his rings or bracelets. he always wore the same simple silver ring on his index finger and that happened to be your favorite one. one day, you pointed at his ring saying,

“i’m gonna steal that, trust”

“no you’re not, this is my favorite one”

“it’s mine too !”

he smiled and took it off,

“does it fit you?”

before you could answer, he took your hand and slipped the ring onto your finger.

“it does!”

“another reason for me to take it then huh”

“absolutely not”

after a long day of having fun with ricky, the two of you got back in the car and you immediately took off one of your rings that had been bothering you all day. you made a mental note to grab it before you were dropped off at your house, but when the time came, you forgot. after a couple days, you remembered but didn’t think too much of it since you didn’t like the ring very much anyway. several days after you realized that you forgot your ring in his car, you and ricky made plans to get food after your morning shift and when you pulled into the parking spot next to him, he got out and opened your door. he pulled the ring out from his pocket and handed it to you.

“i wore it a couple times and kept forgetting to give it back to you”

“it’s okay you can have it, i don’t mind”

he smiled and slipped it onto his finger.

after a little more than a year of knowing gyuvin and getting closer and closer to him everyday, parting ways for college felt harder than you expected. you knew the two of you would stay in touch, but a part of you couldnt help but feel nervous of whether you would still be as close when he came back for breaks or if you would even stay in contact. before the two of you went back to your cars on your last day hanging out together, you shared a loving hug.

“dont be a stranger, gyuvin”

“never will be”

he pulled away and stuck out his pinky, smiling at you. your pinkies intertwined and he stuck his thumb out too, touching his with yours, “to lock in the promise!” he said smiling.

sometimes this mf does not know when to do things and when not to do things. it was your first day at your new job, where he also worked, and you were still getting used to the new environment. along with the new environment, you were also still not quite as casual as gunwook was with your new coworkers and managers either, which made you a little quiet during the shift; a version of you gunwook wasnt used to anymore. trying to make you as comfortable as possible, he acted as he normally did with you, which included lots of play fighting and cracking dumb jokes. when he wasn’t doing that though, he rested his chin or head on your shoulder. you didn’t pay mind to it since he did it so often, and only realized when you heard your managers giggling as he had his head on your shoulder while the two of you were sitting down.
