[ the-governments-daughter ] It was hard to say whether or not for her brother sometimes she was a bother to have around - Sherlock made a point in make it seem that way, regardless on whether it was true or not. And Mycroft would have never told her out loud that he didn't want her around in any moment (of course, she would have never shown up at the Diogenes Club, or while he was working, pretending to have his attention), but she could sense when it was not a good time to be around all the same, even if it was late evening and they were at his place. Apparently it was as if he was always working regardless of where he was and what he was doing. Despite that, Evangeline couldn't help but always stop off her brothers' places and at least tell them that hello, I am alive and well, what about you? Every time she came back after being away for more than a month there was always a surprise expecting her back home. Last time, when she had stopped by in Baker Street she had met John for the first time, sitting on the couch and sipping a cup of tea. When you had two brothers like Sherlock and Mycroft, anything could happen. That was the reason why despite the rain she found herself at Mycroft's door holding in her hand a pink box with a smile. She knew there weren't many chances to find him back home at four o'clock, but it was worth a try all the same, she considered ringing the doorbell impatiently.

oh gosh yes, just- absolutely yes. We definitely can, and I would love to start again with you, that would be actually wonderful. I would love to help you out too because really I have been thinking so much about how and when come back and it always seemed just so hard, but the idea that I could do it with someone as awesome as you...that makes it all seem much easier. So, yes. Totally yes.

So, this is kind of unusual, I guess. And honestly I don't know where and how to start. I have been away for so long I can't even think about calling it a "back from hiatus" post - it's been six months, after all, many of the people I used to roleplay with aren't even playing anymore, and it would be ridiculous pretending to ask the ones who are still there - seriously, there are so many people that are still following this blog. How could this be possible? -  to re-start a thread dropped six months ago. But all the same, I didn't want to delete this blog, because I am incredibly attached to it. Therefore, consider this as a fresh start. I will keep on following the people I am following right now, of course, and I would love to play with all of you. If you are interested in starting afresh or anything at all really, just drop me an ask and we can talk about it. I would be absolutely delighted.  And for all the others, well- hi. I am back after a very long time, so feel free to simply ignore what comes before this post. This blog is so old, and when I created it (and when I left) I was so immature as a roleplayer. I don't claim to be any good now, but- I am surely better than how I was when I dropped this blog.  And to all the ones who have followed me during this immense hiatus and didn't unfollow straight after: you make Baby Jesus smile

Evangeline smiled, and bowed her head a little. "As you wish." she answered happily, fixing the strap on her shoulder and walking down the street with her. "Ah, yes- I've two brothers as well. Is your brother older than you?" she asked, and giggled at the thought of them. "They are- kind of like that as well. When they are paying attention at least."

Evangeline frowned as she listened to her description of her relationship with her mother. "I'm sorry for that - and about your fiancé as well, I remember it." she remembered the first time she had mentioned it to her when a morning she had found her crying in her office and had tried to comfort her: "That's- seven years are such a long time, it's horrible. And if I may...you haven't been weak, not at all. I wouldn't call it weakness, especially in a moment like that must have been."

If possible, he managed to confuse her even more. Evangeline looked at the man up and down - he wasn't Moriarty. She couldn't be mistaken - there were too many small details and particulars that pointed it. She had been taught how to be careful with him, even though he was always a step ahead. Yet, this couldn't make any sense. As it didn't make sense his reaction. He could hurt her, or kill her on the spot, if he was him. Unless... "If you aren't him, then who are you?" she couldn't help but ask, her curiosity way too strong to just run away or call her brother: "You're not Brook, you're not Moriarty, then who are you?"

Evangeline's gladness to have got the right answer were immediately washed away, and she bit her lips with her cheeks flushing. It didn't take her any effort to realise that the other girl was uncomfortable. "I am sorry I didn't - I just, thought I had seen you at the ballet school. I didn't want to make you feel uncomfortable." she apologised, lowering her eyes.
