“If there’s no clean water, how would you clean yourself? And why?”

I’d probably use dry shampoo and one of those no-rinse body cleansers. I’ve actually used them before when I was sick or just too tired to shower. They’re super handy and make me feel human again without needing to turn on a tap.

Dry shampoo saves the day when my hair’s a mess, and the no-rinse cleanser feels like a cheat code for staying fresh. Not perfect, but honestly? Way better than feeling sticky all day.

Kinda makes me appreciate how easy it is to just have water whenever I need it. Definitely something I take for granted.

If things ever get that tough, here’s my survival lineup:

1. Rice — It’s simple, filling, and honestly? I could eat it with just salt or chili flakes and still be okay.

2. Eggs — Easy to cook, full of protein, and super flexible. Scrambled, boiled, or fried—they’ve got my back.

3. Spinach — Gotta have something green! It’s healthy, cooks fast, and makes me feel like I’m still eating “real” food.

Not fancy, but I think I could survive on this trio for a while. Fingers crossed we won’t have to test it!

Before:

It was a bright, two-story house with white walls, big windows, and a little garden. Birds sang in the morning, sunlight warmed the rooms, and the roof had solar panels just to cut costs—not to survive.

Now:

The house still stands, but barely. Walls are cracked, windows covered with metal mesh, the garden is dust. The sky is gray, the air dry and strange. I sleep near the reinforced door with a radio and emergency bag. It’s not a home anymore—just shelter.

“A Song I Would Sing Every Day.”

If I had to choose one song to sing every day, it would be Sugar & Cinnamon by LANY. There’s something about Sugar & Cinnamon that feels like an exhale. It doesn’t try too hard— it just is. The lyrics talk about longing, dreams, and those slow, aching days when everything feels heavier than it should.

I’d sing this song every day as a way to ground myself. The line:

“There will be times when you lose your light

But don’t you let it get you down

We’re here right now.”

is one I hold onto when things feel blurry. It reminds me: even if I haven’t figured it all out, I’m still here. And that’s enough.

For now, my answer is my parents. They’ve been with me since the beginning — their presence is home, their love, constant. I can’t imagine a more comforting place to rest than beside the people who raised me with such care.

But maybe, one day, if I have a life partner and a child, it might be them. To be surrounded by the love I chose and the love I helped create — that, too, is a beautiful way to say goodbye. In the end, I’d want to hold both my roots and my future close.

“Name one item you would choose to help you survive and explain why.”

After thinking it through, I chose a multi-purpose knife. The reason is straightforward but meaningful— in a survival situation, I’d need something versatile, reliable, and not dependent on electricity or internet. A multi-tool knife can help me open canned food, cut branches to build shelter, and even serve as protection if absolutely necessary.

Looking deeper, I realized this choice also reflects how I approach life: I prefer to rely on a few things that are truly useful, rather than carry a lot that might not help when it really matters. Survival isn’t about having everything— it’s about knowing how to make the most of what you do have. Today I learned that strength often comes from simplicity— and from a small item we might usually overlook.
