The Everlark Carols (Part 11, Please Come Home For Christmas)
Happy December, Everlarkers! Apparently, I’m just very good at remembering things this Advent season because I’m late again in getting this posted. After a lot of angst and a complete restore of my laptop, I took a bit to recover from the sheer terror of losing all my stuff–including the rest of this story. Merry Christmas, indeed! For those of you who read the first part, you might have noticed it’s a sequel to Blue, the story I wrote two years ago for @everlarkchristmasgifts. Enjoy part 11! Assuming I can step away from my family a little bit tonight to edit, the remaining two parts will post on Christmas Day.

Lyrics under the cut:
I saw Mommy kissing Santa Claus
Underneath the mistletoe last night
She didn't see me creep
Down the stairs to have a peep
She thought that I was tucked up
In my bedroom, fast asleep
Then I saw Mommy tickle Santa Claus
Underneath his beard so snowy white
Oh, what a laugh it would have been
If Daddy had only seen
Mommy kissing Santa Claus last night
He saw Mommy kissing; kissing, kissing, Santa Claus
I did! I really did see Mommy kissing Santa Claus
And I'm gonna tell my Daddy
Then I saw Mommy tickle Santa Claus
Underneath his beard so snowy white
Oh, what a laugh it would have been
If Daddy had only seen
Mommy kissing Santa Claus last night
Oh, what a laugh it would have been
If Daddy had only seen
Mommy kissing Santa Claus last night
I did! I did! I really did see Mommy kissing Santa Claus
You gotta believe me! You just gotta believe me!
Come on, fellas, believe me! You just gotta believe me!

Have yourself a merry little Christmas
Let your heart be light

Have yourself a merry little Christmas
Make the Yuletide gay
From now on, our troubles will be miles away
Here we are as in olden days
Happy golden days of yore
Faithful friends who are dear to us
Gather near to us once more
Through the years we all will be together
If the fates allow
So hang a shining star upon the highest bough
And have yourself a merry little Christmas now
Have yourself a merry little Christmas
Let your heart be light
From now on, our troubles will be out of sight
Have yourself a merry little Christmas
Make the Yuletide gay
From now on, our troubles will be miles away
Here we are as in olden days
Happy golden days of yore
Faithful friends who are dear to us
Gather near to us once more
Through the years we all will be together

The Everlark Carols (Part 8, I Only Want You For Christmas)
Happy December, Everlarkers! So sorry for the unintended hiatus. First, I forgot to move the posts from drafts to the queue, then Monday night’s two hour thing turned into almost five, then yesterday’s lunch plans turned into an all afternoon thing, and then my internet went out this morning. Oh, and now my laptop’s crashed. It’s been a comedy of errors. I’ll post the missing parts throughout the day. For those of you who read the first part, you might have noticed it’s a sequel to Blue, the story I wrote two years ago for @everlarkchristmasgifts. Enjoy part 8!

Lyrics under the cut:
Bells will be ringing this sad sad news
Oh what a Christmas to have the blues
My baby's gone I have no friends
To wish me greetings once again
Choirs will be singing "Silent Night"
Christmas carols by candlelight
Please come home for Christmas
Please come home for Christmas
If not for Christmas by New Years night
Friends and relations send salutations
Sure as the stars shine above
But this is Christmas yes Christmas my dear
The time of year to be with the ones you love
So won't you tell me you'll never more roam
Christmas and new Years will find you home
There'll be no more sorrow no grief and pain
And I'll be happy, happy once again
Oh there'll be no more sorrow, no grief and pain
And I'll be happy, Christmas once again

Day Ten: ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’
(If, like me, you’ve only just managed to banish this song from your head, I apologise...)

Lyrics under the cut:
I don't want a lot for Christmas
There is just one thing I need
I don't care about the presents
Underneath the Christmas tree
I just want you for my own
More than you could ever know
Make my wish come true
All I want for Christmas is you, yeah.
I don't want a lot for Christmas
There is just one thing I need
And I don't care about the presents
Underneath the Christmas tree
I don't need to hang my stocking
There upon the fireplace
Santa Claus won't make me happy
With a toy on Christmas Day
I just want you for my own
More than you could ever know
Make my wish come true
All I want for Christmas is you
You, baby
Oh, I won't ask for much this Christmas
I won't even wish for snow
And I'm just gonna keep on waiting
Underneath the mistletoe
I won't make a list and send it
To the North Pole for Saint Nick
I won't even stay awake to
Hear those magic reindeer click
'Cause I just want you here tonight
Holding on to me so tight
What more can I do?
Baby, all I want for Christmas is you
You, baby
Oh, all the lights are shining so brightly everywhere
And the sound of children's laughter fills the air
And everyone is singing
I hear those sleigh bells ringing
Santa, won't you bring me the one I really need?
Won't you please bring my baby to me?
Oh, I don't want a lot for Christmas
This is all I'm asking for
I just wanna see my baby
Standing right outside my door
Oh, I just want you for my own
More than you could ever know
Make my wish come true
Baby, all I want for Christmas is you
You, baby
All I want for Christmas is you, baby [repeat with ad-libs until fade]

Lyrics under the cut:
Greeting cards have all been sent
The Christmas rush is through
But I still have one wish to make
A special one for you
Merry Christmas, darling
We're apart, that's true
But I can dream
And in my dreams
I'm Christmasing with you
Holidays are joyful
There's always something new
But every day's a holiday
When I'm near to you
The lights on my tree
I wish you could see
I wish it every day
The logs on the fire
Fill me with desire
To see you and to say
That I wish you Merry Christmas
Happy New Year too
I've just one wish
On this Christmas Eve
I wish I were with you
I wish I were with you
Merry Christmas, darling

I Only Want You For Christmas EverlarkChristmasGifts Day 8
This is a continuation of Santa Baby and I’ll Be Home For Christmas. You can find links to both fics here.
I Only Want You For Christmas is definitely NSFW, and clocks in at 5,375 words. It’s a doozy :).
Rated E under the cut. And completely unbeta’d, so all mistakes are my own.
Hope you enjoy!
“I don’t think the snow plows have been out,” Peeta commented as he opened the car door to let her inside. “The roads are completely covered.”
It’d been snowing lightly when they arrived a few hours ago, and the weather hadn’t let up at all while they were inside the restaurant, leaving downtown Panem looking like a winter wonderland. It was beautiful, if you were into that kind of stuff.

You are permitted to post works for any previous day. To participate, you can either tag us in your posts, or submit directly to us here. Have fun!
Lyrics under the cut:
Last Christmas
I gave you my heart
But the very next day you gave it away
This year
To save me from tears
I'll give it to someone special
Last Christmas
I gave you my heart
But the very next day you gave it away
This year
To save me from tears
I'll give it to someone special
Once bitten and twice shy
I keep my distance
But you still catch my eye
Tell me, baby
Do you recognize me?
Well, it's been a year
It doesn't surprise me
Merry Christmas
I wrapped it up and sent it
With a note saying "I love you"
I meant it
Now I know what a fool I've been
But if you kissed me now
I know you'd fool me again
Last Christmas
I gave you my heart
But the very next day you gave it away
This year
To save me from tears
I'll give it to someone special
Last Christmas
I gave you my heart
But the very next day you gave it away
This year
To save me from tears
I'll give it to someone special
Oh, oh, baby
A crowded room
Friends with tired eyes
I'm hiding from you
And your soul of ice
My god, I thought you were someone to rely on
Me? I guess I was a shoulder to cry on
A face on a lover with a fire in his heart
A man under cover, but you tore me apart
Now I've found a real love. You'll never fool me again
Last Christmas
I gave you my heart
But the very next day you gave it away
This year
To save me from tears
I'll give it to someone special
Last Christmas
I gave you my heart
But the very next day you gave it away
This year
To save me from tears
I'll give it to someone special
A face on a lover with a fire in his heart
I gave you my heart
A man under cover, but you tore him apart
Maybe next year I'll give it to someone—
I'll give it to someone special
Special
Someone
Someone
I'll give it to someone—
I'll give it to someone special
Who give me something in return
I'll give it to someone—
Hold my heart and watch it burn
I'll give it to someone—
I'll give it to someone—
I'll give it to someone special
I thought you were here to stay
How could you love me for a day
I thought you were someone special
Gave you my heart
I'll give it to someone—
I'll give it to someone—
Last Christmas
I gave you my heart
You gave it away
I'll give it to someone—
I'll give it to someone—

Day Six: ‘Oh, Holy Night’

Lyrics under the cut:
O holy night, the stars are brightly shining.
It is the night of our dear Savior's birth.
Long lay the world in sin and ever plight,
'til He appeared and the salt felt it's worth.
A thrill of hope, the weary soul rejoices,
for yonder breaks a new and glorious morn'.
Fall on your knees.
Oh hear the angels voices.
Oh night divine.
Oh night, when Christ was born.
Oh night divine.
Oh night, oh night divine.
Truly He taught us to love one another.
His law is love and His gospel is peace.
Change shall he bring, for the slave is our brother.
And in His name, all depression shall cease.
The King of Kings lay thus in lowly manger.
In all our trials, born to be our friend.
Christ, Christ is the Lord.
Oh praise His name forever.
His power and glory shall evermore proclaim.
His power and glory shall evermore proclaim.
oh,
Fall on your knees.
Oh hear the angels voices.
Oh night divine.
Oh night, when Christ was born.
Oh, night divine.
Oh night, oh night divine
