I want to congratulate Cecilia Edman Bergman for a fantastic debut concert at the Royal Danish Academy of Music yesterday!

It was such a great honour to be asked to contribute with new music for this concert. My piece "A Letter To Jörð" for flute and guitar was played wonderfully by the amazing Duo Mardi and I can't wait to hear it again!

Also big applause to Fred Holmlund and Bacchus Guitar Quartet for wonderful performances during this concert, and our deepest gratitude to the people who came to listen! It was really nice to see so many in attendance!

I wish Cecilia a happy and prosperous soloist career, I do hope for many more collaborations together in the future!

I urge every classical music enthusiast in the Öresund-area to check out my friend Cecilia Edman Bergmans debut recital at the Royal Danish Academy of Music on February 5 this year!

Many of my talented colleagues will participate in this concert, and the relatively recently established Duo Mardi (comprised of flautist Amanda Salonen Ripa and Cecilia on classical guitar) will premiere a new composition of mine.

I am very grateful to be part of this project, and it is my sincerest wish that Cecilia will have a large audience attending her debut as soloist, so spread the word and invite your friends!

On February 28 this year, Gothenburg Oboe Quartet will release their debut album "Fred i vår tid" (Peace in our time):

This album (which features works by Veronika Kroell Voetmann, Alvi Joensen, Benjamin Britten and I) is the culmination of a concert project launched in 2023.

The world premiere took place at KoncertKirken in Copenhagen on November 5 that same year, followed by multiple performances in Sweden and the Faroe Islands in 2024.

To celebrate the launch of this new album, a release-concert will take place on March 16, at S:t Pauli K:a in Gothenburg! We sincerely hope to see you all there!

In these chaotic times filled with loss, grief, injustice and uncertainty, music have the power to bring out strong emotions but also calm or comfort. A lot of people will agree that it also has the power to make us reflect on important things in our lives.

The project "Fred i vår tid" (peace in our time) was born out of the turmoil our world experienced when the conflict in Ukraine escalated almost 3 years ago. We wanted to express our thoughts about the concept of war and peace through music and invite people with different perspectives to speak at each performance.

Just before our world premiere, at KoncertKirken in Copenhagen, another brutal conflict escalated in the Middle East, making the subject of the project even more urgent and relevant. It might seem easy to talk about peace when war doesn't affect you directly, but no less important.

In just 10 days, on November 24, the project will return to Denmark with a performance in Emdrup Kirke at 16.00. If you missed the premiere in Copenhagen last year (or any of the other concerts in Sweden and the Faroe Islands), then my colleagues Alvi Joensen, Veronika Kroell Voetmann and I, as well as the musicians of Göteborg Oboekvartett, welcome you all to this one! Here comes some exciting news about an upcoming concert for you all!

The project "Fred i vår tid", which premiered in November last year, will be performed by Göteborg Oboekvartett at Bollmoradalens K:a in Tyresö on September 28, 16.00.

Per usual, the performance will be in collaboration with a local speaker who talks about the important subject of peace, and a this event the speaker will be Ellen Schelin.

We sincerely hope that you'll take time to attend this concert! Be sure to spread the word about our project, it would mean the world to us!

Exciting things are happening next week, on August 11; my new composition "Södergran Songs" (which is part of the project "EDITH - Jorden blev förvandlad till en askhög") will recieve its finnish premiere at Nagu Kyrka!

I am once again extending my deepest gratitude to my friends and collaborators Fredrik Hagerberg and Josefin Sundström, with whom I've been working on this inspiring artistic venture for almost a year.

I am so happy with the result of this project, especially after the positive feedback we recieved after the swedish premiere at Vikens Kyrka last month. Hoping for an equally positive response from the audience in Nagu!

Wish you all a nice summer! I'd like to talk to you about an upcoming project I'm a part of: In Open Air - Boudin 200!

This project, which is dedicated to the french proto-impressionist painter Eugène Boudin (1824-1898), is in collaboration with Duo Diabas and my colleagues Hans Artursson, Emil Ernström and Gonçalo Rodrigues.

This project has been long in the making, and now it is finally being materialized with a premiere performance at Kungsbacka Theatre on October 5, 2024!

I am very fortunate to have several performances of my music coming up this year!

These include world premieres of pieces like "Rán" with Malmö Symphony Orchestra at Malmö Live, "Dr��fa" with the new string quintet R5 at Odeum in Lund and "Södergran Songs" with Fredrik Hagerberg & Josefin Sundström in Nagu, Finland.

I want to extend my deepest gratitude to Norrköping Symphony Orchestra (SON), Michael Bartosch, Östgöta Kammarkör, Jakob Grubbström and Crusellkvintetten for a successful collaboration during the 2024 edition of Norrköpingsljud!

I also want to thank the organizers of this festival for including my works this year, I has been especially fun to work with SON, an orchestra which I grew up listening to while living in Norrköping. I sincerely hope that we'll have the opportunity to work together again soon!

The FB-event to the concert with Norrköping Symphony Orchestra (which occurs during Norrköpingsljud on Friday 24) is now out!

On the program is my piece "Ægir" from 2020, a piece which deals with the existential issue of climate change through themes from Norse mythology.

We composers would be most grateful if you spread the word about Norrköpingsljud everywhere, we want to reach as many people as possible so that we'll get an audience!

Last week I had the absolute pleasure of meeting with the amazing bassoon class at the Academy of Music in Malmö, and going through my piece "Miniature" No. 22 for bassoon quartet! ❤���

So sad that I can't attend the premiere myself, but I do urge people to go and listen at the academy, in room D206 at 17.00 on May 24!

The program for the 2024 edition of Norrköpingsljud is finally available online! ❤️

This festival for contemporary music was founded in 2015 and is centered around music by composers with a connection to the Swedish city of Norrköping.

If you by any chance find yourself in the area, then I strongly recommend you come and listen to the concerts on the 23th to 26th of May.

One of the events is a concert with Norrköping Symphony Orchestra (SON) with conductor Michael Bartosch, and on the program is my orchestral work "Ægir" from 2020. Really excited about this world premiere!

The amazing singer Amanda Larsson (alias Gurk-Maja Lagerbladh) and the dancers Ida Hämäläinen, Alma Björkman, Pia Olofsson, Vera Hjorth and Alva Widell (collectively known as "The Catch-ups") are super excited to compete in this years finals!

I am really excited about the faroese premiere of the project "Fred i vår tid" (peace in our time) which takes place this weekend!

The amazing Gothenburg Oboe Quartet is going to perform a classical concert with works by B. Britten, G. Fauré and W. A. Mozart tonight at 19.30 at Tórshavn Cathedral, and on sunday March 3 at 16.00 they're performing "Fred i vår tid" (or "Friður á foldum" in the faroese language) at the Nordic House.

It is now only 2 days left before SMASK Malmö, which is arranged by students at the Academy of Music in Malmö (MHM), takes place at Slagthuset, Malmö!

SMASK (Sveriges MusikAkademikers Sång Kåntest) is an annual song-contest that dates back to 1991, when a group of students at Kungliga musikhögskolan initiated their own local competition after having their submissions to Melodifestivalen repeatedly rejected.

SMASK soon spread to the other music academies in Sweden and a national competition called Riks-SMASK was also formed, in which the winners and runners-up of each local contest compete.

Only 1 day left til the swedish premiere of "Fred i vår tid"! This time I'll (hopefully) be healthy enough to attend in person and hear my piece "Grið" live for the very first time!

On March 3 this project arrives to the Faroe Islands and later during the summer/early autumn there will be more performances in Denmark during the quartets tour!
