I present the funniest parts of my chapter 8 outline for Most Valuable Pawn. I need to stop making jokes, honestly.

Zerifunyan on X just made this wonderful comic based on a scene from my fic The Moment to Fight. It is absolutely stunning!
Some gore under the cut (beware!)

Now I'm gonna gush about how much I love this!
The designs! Trip is so gorgeous! And the cicada killer wasp demon looks better than the mental image I had of the character when writing.
The comic perfectly captures the atmosphere and vibe of the scene that I had in mind! Words cannot describe how happy I am that this exists!
Thank you, Zerifunyan!

I finished chapter 7 of MVP! It's called Too Close to the King.
In lieu of content from the chapter, I'd like to thank all of you for reading and enjoying. You're the kind of readers that make me want to stay up until two in the morning in the hopes that I can finish the chapter for you. You all are the best!
It is 2 am here, so I'll see you all tomorrow, but in the meantime, I wish you a happy reading!

I don't know if it's my new way of summarizing MVP chapters that's doing it, but now when I sit down to write, it genuinely feels like I'm sitting around a table with all of the characters, playing DnD. They all have character sheets that are just mini versions of themselves, and I'm the DM.

If anyone wants to read a Journey to the West fic about Sun Wukong tricking Tripitaka into learning to fight, I think you'd enjoy my new fic Sparring Partners.

Jango's primary fighting strategy is to use blasters and then use his jet pack to get away before an enemy can get within melee range (a smart move with light sabers around, RIP Jango). I'd say he's definitely a gunslinger. Their key ability is dexterity, and with that blaster trick he does before holstering it, I'd say that fits spectacularly.
I like this game, so give me any character at all, and I'll tell you their DnD/Pathfinder class.

Give me any LMK character, and I'll tell you what their DnD/Pathfinder class would be. I want to see how many I can come up with.

MVP chapter 7 summary ft. lots of dice jail jokes.
Macaque finds the rest of the party and takes his d20 out of dice jail for some charisma rolls. Wukong has never heard of dice jail and thinks “yeah, the GM definitely set up this fight for one player to handle. Definitely.” Tang's perception is so bad, his disadvantage is the GM telling him to keep rolling until he gets a one. The mayor puts all of his d20s in dice jail. Wukong finds out what dice jail is when he fails a Will save against LBD's spellcasting DC and has to give her his character sheet. Macaque still has a +20 perception modifier and decides bullheadedness can be a skill if he really wants it to be.

MVP chapter 7 goes out to all my Suntang shippers (when I finish it). Only chapter 7, though, and then I return you to your regularly scheduled Inkypages.
Itty-bitty bad word warning.

@autism-criminal This is so us, and it goes both ways.
Every unhinged fic writer needs an equally unhinged friend who "yes ands" their ideas and encourages them to write all their most far fetched and insane stories.

This is not from MVP, but don't worry, I'm still writing chapter 7.

The fun thing about shipping Suntang (still calling it Trip Hazard on the side) is that you can read Journey to the West and point out all the times Wukong protected Tripitaka and go "oh, are you protecting your man?" while choosing to completely ignore that he's been conscripted to do that exact thing.

I hate to break it to you all, especially my LMK watchers who have been led to believe otherwise, but Tang Sanzang / Tripitaka is undoubtedly an extrovert.
He grew up inserting himself into every religious and philosophical discussion possible. The first and only known bully to target him did so because he was jealous that Jiangliu (Sanzang) was a better speaker.
He climbed the social ladder by being polite, courteous, and willing to discuss a variety of topics with anyone who would join him. When he left for the journey, he had dozens of people begging to know when he'd be back.
He's been lured into multiple kidnappings with a good conversation, and he feels the need to let every single person they come across travel with them, at least for a short time.
I'm not just some extrovert trying to claim him, either. I'm an introvert. He is not.

I would like to propose a fic writing alliance...
