maomao’s dedication to ignoring jinshi’s real identity is truly inspiring. the woman who has solved multiple murders based on minor clues in the environment keeps looking at every sign pointing to jinshi being royalty and going “damn, this could add up to something. good thing I can’t do math!”

maomao is my favorite "not like other girls" style protagonist bc for one shes a girls girl through and through. to the bone. and two she's just a weird little freak. absolute lunatic. they have the whole "omg she's actually beautiful and everyone falls for her when she's all made up" trope but the punchline is that she does not fucking want to look like that. she actively puts dirt on her face every day bc she does not want to be perceived as attractive (mostly out of fear of being used for sex work though at the same time she has the utmost respect for women who do sex work like she grew up in a brothel those are her sisters). she's Sherlock level smart and solves every mystery so fast but goes "well thats none of my business. anyway back to testing poisons on myself" she has the 2nd most powerful guy in the nation head over heels in love with her and is like "man this guy is weird around me what's his deal. I guess he's fine though because he gives me rare medicines and has no dick" fucking ICON i love her. also she once slapped someone so hard they fell on the floor. 10/10

He’s clever but makes dumb decisions. A nepo baby with a burning desire to prove himself. Childlike yet cynical. Lots of unearned confidences but also insecure. Handsome but without an ounce of rizz.

it’s actually very funny to me that langdon and robby are both the hardest on the residents that are most like them.

langdon has whole scenes cherry picking cases, fighting with garcia and princess, and complains about those very same traits in santos to robby episodes later saying thats why she doesn’t have what it takes to make it in the pitt.

robby constantly criticizes mohan for spending too much time with her patients, meanwhile he spends 2-3 episodes with the same two patients and orders a bunch of unnecessary tests for a patient he knew was dead just to give some small kindness to the parents.

like the self loathing alarm bell is soooo loud how do neither of them hear it???

im mad about billie piper not bcus i don’t love billie piper and think she’s fantastic but i just. i want something new. this doctor who just feels so stuck in the past and i want something new. i don’t want another regeneration into someone from before like david tennant. ncuti feels like his time was unfinished (never got rogue out of super hell!!!) and so this regeneration just feels weird and tired and out of ideas

at the end of the day I'll always blame amazon prime for this because WHERE was the promotion - no one in my vicinity had even heard of the show until I mentioned it. watching an amazon prime show, you never get adverts for wot, everywhere you look on public transport no billboards for wot, just got old word of mouth it's not enough
