re: the 'tme/tma' thing, I remember once clicking on someone's blog and seeing a super long post in convoluted language arguing for tma/tme, and against anyone using 'transfem/woman/etc' who wasn't a REAL trans woman because... 'transfem is a category formed because of transmisogny experience of transmisogyny is what defines it'. like jesus what a sad and selfish view of the world.

one of the most wild things to me about the whole tma/tme thing is like.... you can't label yourself or anyone else as exempted from a specific kind of bigotry. what is directed at you, whether its transmisogny or transandrophobia (or any other kind of bigotry) is entirely from the viewpoint of the bigot doing it. and they can call it misdirected or whatever, but it's not gonna stop the bigot from doing that if someone were to go "But wait! I'm a trans man, not a trans women." and they're still gonna be a fucking bigot and may even double down on being transmisogynistic to that person. not to mention just. non-passing black trans men or trans mascs that look femme, because transmisogyny will always affect black and brown folks due to the masculinaztion of black/brown femininity by bigots. did we all collectively forget people transvestigating michelle obama because they thought she was "secretly a man"?????
