Overdue

New year new poems, may this year bring me meaningful days and writing not written from ache, though I seriously doubt that lol.

Open-book
You opend the book and thought I was an easy read
yet now all you do is re-read the cliff-hanger
each time the meaning more and more obscure

last supper.
-p.m.
This is a poem that's been in the drafts for a whiiilleee. I wrote it at a time when I was feeling intense emotions and left it half finished. And every time I'd come back to it, it felt wrong to finish a poem built on emotions I didn't feel as intensely anymore. I didn't know how to capture that feeling of desperation, ache, and anxiousness I felt while writing this. I did my best to finish it on a note that felt satisfying enough where my old self would find it a adequate conclusion, though I know it would definitely would've been longer if my self at that time finished it, and probably more intense. But I hope you all enjoy it or find something you relate to in it.

Epilogue 2
-p.m.
This is a continuation of a poem I wrote some months ago that was unamed, but later called "sometimes i remember." Though if I had to go back and re-name it, I'd give it the name: Epilogue.

The road home
-p.m.
Wrote this on the same day I wrote "The back door to the kitchen." Both have special meanings to me on walking away from something that isn't good for you yet still feeling conflicted on your decision. I hope every closed door in your life leads to open windows and new paths because life is too short to stay in the same room forever🩷
