Tomb Of Annihilation – Jungles of Chult

The D&D Storyline is moving away from the Giants of the North and into the South of the Jungles of Chult.

It’s an area, but also a dungeon (Tomb of Annihilation), but no one would be surprised if you had never heard about the Jungles of Chult. The latest sourcebook for this place is 24 years old (came out in 1993) and there has been little update since then.

I love Paul S. Kemp’s Twilight War Trilogy. It shows a relatable evil in the Shadovar and a lot of gray morals from every side of the story.

Sembia was not taken by the Shadovar because it “deserved it.” It had much-needed ports and farmland that Netheril needed to feed its nation. Netheril is not presented as maniacal evil, but as calculating and driven.
