I didn't spend 25 years fucking around with terfery to deconstruct and critique it just to have people come along to say "but they saaaaay they hate men so that's why they hate trans women" with approximately negative analysis to back it up.

You can't just look at their words, you have to look at their actions. Really you have to look at everything they say, not just the parts that support what you want to believe. Hell, Janice Raymond herself outright acknowledged that trans women are female and aren't male socialized. Just ask @taliabhattwrites. Or rather check her twitter for her live read of The Transsexual Empire.

Also, terfs are not the primary source of transmisogyny.

Stop trying to put men at the center of women's oppression.

help me afford food/heat/basic kitchen necessities

sooo, cost of living crisis is unabated. i'm getting an increase in my benefits in April, but that's still a month away and it's not going to be more than matching the inflation.

further: i need to buy new dishes and cooking utensils. what i have now is very basic, a lot of the plates are chipped and all of the pots i have can't be kashered as they're non-stick. Pesakh is coming up in two months, i'd like to have my kitchen kashered at least as to the very basics by then (this is also a condition of the bays din under whose supervision i'm converting/affirming my status). dishes are expensive, even the cheap stuff is not something i can afford rn; pots and pans even moreso.

also, i would like to get a tea urn, warming plate, etc. for Shabbos, (my oven doesn't have a keep-warm function), and those too are currently beyond my budget.

on top of that, some annual bills are coming up, and i still need a new bed, but i don't really expect that to be on the cards for a while.

setting the goal provisionally at £600; anything i don't spend on dishes/utensils/small appliances for the kitchen will go towards food and bills.
