You!
My dearest,
Are all the world's love languages
bottled into one.
Tumblr media
You! my love,
you cruelly rob me of words
They race upto my lips and die out.
Tumblr media
You! my love,
You imprison me in the heat of your touch
My body pledging it's reverent allegiance.
Tumblr media
You! my love,
You started a trade, drawing up a bargain
And somehow the world's wealth turns futile
Tumblr media
You! my love,
You make my days feel like years
Making me long for our eternity.
Tumblr media
You! my love,
You make love feel like devotion
And my heart a feverent devout.
Tumblr media
You!
My dearest,
Are all the world's love languages
Moulded into one
The one for me
The only for me.

Its weird that I've never loved anyone romantically, never had a heartbreak,
yet i feel,
like I've lived through ages,
loved through centuries,
and
grieved their loss over the rest of my life.

I know far too much
to be just a friend,
And a little too less
to be your lover.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You keep me at arm's length
but within your orbit,
Your fingers linger for minutes
yet you flee with your heart in seconds
I think a lot about you
A lot more than I should
A lot more than I want to
And still,
We're friends.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
But it stains my tongue
to be washed away with tea
brewed to suit your taste
held close to my chest
I see the war in your eyes
The same battle in mine
The sun sets and rises again
And still,
we're friends.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Maybe I should look it up
In a dictionary or thesaurus
But for now,
we're friends.

We feel a bit too much
Hurt too much
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Laugh too much
Dream too much
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And without an ounce of regret
Love a little too much,
even if it's never enough.

I could overdose on the high you pull from the words that flow gently touching your lips stumbling off your tongue right into the corner of my lips I lick it off greedily scared they might disappear but years later when someone else traces my lips despite all the sweetness i can offer they would taste a hint of bitter Is it my fault or yours? I can't tell! but there it goes, ruining my life Over and over again a ghost from the past a taste from the past slotting into my life in whispers, in dreams and in the brown of their eyes.

I feel safe hiding behind a mask, safe enough to share my writing, thoughts, musings without being afraid of somebody trying to carry out an autopsy of my words, binding it to my life and discovering the treasured parts of my being. There's something so beautiful about being vulnerable without actually being vulnerable. The mask is a safety net,I've realised.I might be a coward for doing that, but is it too much to ask if the only thing I'm asking, is for the world to not figure me out completely so that when everything ends, I can rest easy that only the people I've truly wanted in my life are the ones who actually got to read the entirety of my being and that the others only got certain pages, certain chapters, selectively handed out to them.

I burnt myself enough times,
hoping i'll be warm enough
to shield you from the cold,
the woes of this merciless night.

Stars are ruins, they say
how much more of a ruin should i be?
to be one among the stars
or am i ruined too far?
to belong to the night sky.
Tell me dear expanse,
Am i worth your heart?
To carve a place,
A speck of haze.

Perhaps i should feel the hurt in the exact way it should hurt,
in my bones, in my mind and a weird pang in my chest that'd make me doubt if my heart would survive.
I should let the hurt devour me like a starved beast,
Gently mourn the death of a part of me that crumbled under the weight of the rock i couldn't carry,
I should forgive myself for putting aside the hurt for so long that it had gained power to break me into a million little shards
the same ones that would give me nasty cuts as I put them away.
I should cremate the should haves and could haves
and get a good night's sleep,
without dreams, expectations or hope.
Just a good night's sleep.
Plain darkness, nothing fancy.
Perhaps, that might heal my soul.

You cannot live alone on the fantasies you feed to your mind, eventually you have to touch your life for real, assess and analyze your habits, understand your character, try not to hate yourself for your character as it was shaped when you were very young by circumstances outside of you, and begin learning how to cope with your character, how to build habits that work for you, finish small projects, finish big projects, expose yourself to more uncomfortable situations, assess why you want to leave that friendship before you leave it, raise your anxiety levels on purpose, so that you can grow, raise your work load on purpose, so that you can grow, so that you can build resilience, so that your life expands, and can be experienced by you in full and in reality

What a beautiful piece of art!
i wrote a twin cinema poem about two gay soldiers in wwi
Tumblr media
context: the two sides, read separately, are the two soldiers thinking about their futures with each other. when read together, it's a reflection of their final thoughts when they die together struck by bullets <3

Trial 385 to Sleep
The night stretches longer,
Each tick of the clock strikes louder, sharper,
Like tiny needles piercing the silence.
The shadow in the corner—
It spills, grows bold,
Now it swallows half the room.
I close my eyes,
And there you are:
Your face, soft as smoke,
Hovering just beyond my reach.
I ache for another touch,
To plunge into your arms,
Pour my soul like molten silver onto your skin,
Split open—so you’d see yourself
Reflected in the hollows of my being.
I carry you,
Pressed into the lining of my ribs,
Folded into the chambers of my heart.
I reach for you,
But your edges blur, dissolve.
My eyes snap open—
The shadow has grown.
It creeps closer, darker, heavier,
And I am left
Alone with its weight.
