The dark romance girlies being into Vulpes Inculta is so funny to me like. I’m cackling at the idea of dark romance but the guy doesn’t like you because he’s a misogynist and isn’t attracted to you because he’s gay and also isn’t hot

The Crash
The Vertibird arced through the sky in a deathspin. Falling more than flying, the EMP had fried all the circuitry, and the shockwave had flung it off course. One pilot was knocked unconscious by the g-forces, and the other scrambled to right the quickly worsening situation.
The two soldiers in the back quickly tried to strap in to protect them in the inevitable crash. Through one of the windows, a private saw the Capitol building vaporized, a mushroom cloud growing from it. A few other flashes followed suit, no doubt wiping Salt Lake City from the map.
The one soldier wearing power armor saw through the cockpit the worst possible place to crash. Skull Valley Waste Disposal, the largest underground nuclear waste dump in Utah, and they were about to blow its doors wide open. And he slowly tightened the valves on his T-45 helmet.

Draw.
Neither dared take a step. They were locked in a stalemate in the busy town of Nephi, but not a soul dared venture onto the street as both of the Rangers, from one creed but bitterly taking different paths, waited for the moment to draw.
The Desert Ranger spoke up first, their green eyepieces affording the barest hint of a glimpse at her eyes.
"You're a long way from home, ain'cha?"
The NCR Ranger, his black armor obscured by the distinctive heavy leather duster, scrubbed clean of the insignia marking their old creed, scoffed. His hand twitched over his holster, the big-fuckin'-revolver a sign of his "honorable service." The Ranger across from him would disagree.
The green-eyed Ranger dug the heel of her boot into the dusty road.
"Go on home, and tell the rest of the bear there's nothing in Utah for them. Just tribes and towns trying to live their own lives. Free."
That word, "Free." It stung the NCR Ranger, he was freedom, an agent of a nation bringing freedom and peace. He knew he couldn't draw first, shooting this terrorist dead would sour Nephi's disposition of the NCR as a whole.
A bead of sweat dripped from his brow, obscuring vision in his right eye for but a moment. In that moment, though, it was too late. With a loud crack, and a plume of gunfire smoke, a .45-70 ripped through his unarmored arm. His shoulder. Where the Desert Ranger insignia once sat proudly.
"Run on home, traitor. I got bigger fish need fryin' than some kin-killer tryin' to play sheriff."

Fallout: Bonneville
Hi there! If you're seeing this, then you are hopefully interested somewhat in the Fallout franchise / world!
This blog is documenting my work in doing a bit of fan-worldbuilding, specifically for the area of Central Utah! We saw a bit of Zion, and learned a smidge about the rest of Utah in Fallout: New Vegas and its Honest Hearts DLC, and I loved it so much I decided to expand upon it.
Currently this project only exists as an ever-expanding Google Doc, but I have very lofty and naive aspirations of one day hopefully making a free fan supplement for the Fallout TTRPG, or in my wildest dreams being able to have it come together as a mod for a Fallout game on the scale of a fully-fledged game.
As it stands now though, I have neither the money, spoons, or manpower to make any of that happen, so I simply made this blog to share the fun little slices of the land I'm making, and to reblog Fallout content that I enjoy.
