Day 17 of Prompt list: Owl

Fandom: 9-1-1

Pairing: Chimney Han/Maddie Buckley

Note: this is to make up for what I wrote for day 16, I'm so sorry. so have this cute drabble of Chimney playing with Jee-Yun

Chimney gives Jee-Yun the little owl plush that she'd dropped onto the seat next to her. She wiggles it around and seems content, so Chimney goes to close the door, but she drops it again, and almost starts crying so he hurriedly grabs it and jumps into the seat next to her. He starts playing with her by pretending to hide behind it and moving it away.

They had been on the road for hours now, and Jee had been restless. Their next stop is a hotel for the night, or at least that's Chimney's plan, but for now, he's going to play with his daughter while they were at this gas station that's fairly empty.

He hands it back to her and she wiggles it around in circular motions, before tossing it slightly near Chim. He picks it up, and this continues until Jee doesn't throw it back but instead holds onto it and her eyes droop a little. Chimney takes it as his cue to continue driving, so he jumps out of the car and walks over to the driver's side. He jumps in and starts the car--he previously paid for gas and everything--snd drives off, Jee falling quickly asleep in the backseat. After they stop and rest for a minute they would be off again, continuing the search for Maddie.
