I haven't been on here in a bit lol.

I'm now like in the military and married so this is weird. I don't really have a passion to write fics anymore sorry guys. If I ever do get it back I'll come back for certain.

yeah yeah I have just learned that one of my family members may have covid, and schools been kicking my butt, and as much as I’ve wanted to write my focus has been really on school, college applications, and looking after my siblings. So I’m sorry for all the requests in my inbox and being totally inactive it’s just that life has been really stressing me and so I have not been able to really write anything as I’ve just been stressed or really tired. 

But I do appreciate the concern and during Thanksgiving and Christmas I’ll finally be able to relax more and get to the requests in my inbox

Just learned that George R R Martin disapproves of fan fiction and hates it, yet also started out by writing fan fiction and literally his name abbreviation he got from J R R Tolkien and his writing is heavily influenced by Tolkien’s work. Also he’s fine with the Game of Thrones script writers doing whatever the hell they want with it and he supervises none of it. Yet fan fiction is the problem because it’s not original.

Like I understand not liking it because there’s a lot of shitty fanfics and my early fanfics are utter horse piss, but to basically deny any of your readers from doing it and some authors threatining or are suing is ridiculous. It’s a hobby and as long as you don’t make money off of it why is it so harmful. No fanfic writer can change the canon they are in no way a threat to you. They don’t steal your readers bc they are your readers and their readers are also your readers.

Well you see it ain’t that easy bc it could be either it’s been implied it’s dark but many sources also say it’s possibly blond, but it’s never been specifically stated what his hair color is. Also his heritage is also a mystery and has changed and so with it his hair color. So we’ll just have to rule it as magical elf hair bc I mean Galadriel has magical elf hair so why can’t Gil Galad not have magical elf hair?

Literally just went through like 70+ fics correcting grammatical errors, editing in warnings, word counts, editing my masterlist and the gender of the reader on my masterlist and in fics and then also putting them all into google docs for back up purposes. It’s taken me a couple of hours what the hell?

Rn going though all my fics and putting in if the reader is female/male/or gender neutral bc I know that I personally like to read fics that I can relate more to and be more immersed in if I read one more specific to my gender and though most of my fics I try to keep gender less or gender neutral so it doesn’t really matter. Of course unless it’s explicitly specified in a request. I want everyone to be able to read my fics and easily navigate through them and to be able to pic fics they would more enjoy reading.
