I saw people say they were putting the Sidon amiibo into a jar.
I didn't know what that meant.
....
I wish I still didn't know what that meant.

Come on Nintendo, let the Wild Era die.
$80 for a game about a crappy Princess Zelda, three boring and bland characters, and 4 literal no-face NPCs? This story should have been in Totk.
Totk's story is basically unsalvagable. It's not just inconsistent with its predecessor, it's inconsistent with itself.
But IF they attempt to tell the story of the Imprisoning War, here is what it can address to try to retify this one director's wet dream to retcon LttP and OoT.
Explain why Zelda can understand Rauru and Sonia despite the fact their language should be different. And even if there is an explanation, cover why she isn't shocked to hear a dead language.
Explain how Zelda teleported across space when her powers are explicitly about time and do not work the way they did at the beginning of her time travel. AKA she should not have just been able to appear halfway across Hyrule through her time travel like that.
Explain why Zelda is willing to help the past despite the fact she has no idea if her actions will change her future, but also for some reason did NOT tell Sonia and Rauru about Link, the corpse under the castle, etc.
Explain why Zelda isn't able to put "Ganon" and "Ganondorf" together despite it being known IN UNIVERSE that Calamity Ganon was once a Gerudo man.
Explain why Zelda is willing to hand over "modern" technology to Mineru without worrying about messing up the timeline. (Related to Q.3)
Explain why Zelda and Sonia thought it was a good idea to go after an unknown entity roaming the castle alone.
Explain how Ganondorf got into the room on the SECOND FLOOR without being noticed or heard to assassinate Sonia. Did he teleport? And if he did, then why bother with a phantom at all?
Explain why Ganondorf is so much stronger than 7 people with the same magic stones, when he needed the stone himself just to stand up to Rauru? Why does his stone juice him up so much more than 7 people combined?
How did Zelda conclude that holding the Master Sword will ensure it will be part of her dragon body? Kinda a gamble.
How did they end up so deep underground at the end of the war? Did they follow him there? Trick him down there?
Why did the Gerudo Sage betray her people?
Why didn't Zelda leave pictures on the purah pad for Link to act as clues? Not even a note! There is no reason to keep him in the dark.
Realistically, I expect to only get answers for 3, 5, 6, 10, and 11.
There are more questions that need answering but man.... I don't really care. I'm not buying an 80 game for a shit story that spits on two of the greatest Zelda games ever made.

I'm laughing at the reddit comments. People are mad because she is sexualized and she isn't meant to he a sexualized lord!
I guess they didn't see all the cipher stuff, like the pj one or the butt pose one.
Petition to have R!Fomortiis in a T&A pose plz
Or Duma himself, unless we're supposed to supremely understand they're not true gods?
Ditto for Ashera'n'Yune ?

Below is an ask that I am putting here for spoiler reasons. Spoilers for EoW.
Now that you have beaten Echoes, I was wondering what your opinion is on Null as a villain and their place in the wider lore of the series ?
Mostly indifferent. It's nice to have a new villain, but now people are saying what was happening to Lorule was because of Null.
Um.... No.
I'm not super stoked for the theories people will come up with due to its existence. And I don't love the idea of the GG making the world to contain Null specifically.
Overall, I don't think Null will have the impact that Demise had per say.
My feelings are overall mixed. Good fun villain, some implications of the lore I'm not super excited about, and I'm not looking forward to bad theories. Again.

Playing EoW. I find it pretty funny how easy it is for Zelda to traverse Hyrule after BotW and TotK made survival and exploring the map a big deal. Though it's offset by Zelda not being able to directly fight most of the time so she doesn't completely outclass Link, though summoning monsters to fight feels more like a Ganon thing to me. Anyway EoW is probably the best Zelda game on the Switch IMO
Agreed! EoW didn't feel like a chore to play or traverse. The horse is still kinda useless tbh, but eh. It's such a small map that I'm not really too bothered by that.
I currently have EoW as my 4th favorite Zelda game, while BotW and Totk don't even Crack the top 8.
EoW left me wanting more. Such a charming game.

Having just 100% EoW today, I might write a quick review. Might not either. Just some random, spoiler free thoughts here and there.
But the grand sum without elaboration is...
I really liked it!
Story - pretty good. Charming, not fundamentally broken like totk, and feels like a silly Zelda world. Feels like a love letter to OoT and LttP with a splash of totk gameplay.
Characters - Charming. Tri is surprisingly pretty good as a companion. Most characters won't make it to the legendary status like Marin did though (except one, we all know I am referring to)
Exploration and map - Fun. Non-restrictive without too much early freedom and doesn't break the story.
Rewards- actually rewarding, although some things come a tad too late for me to enjoy them
Combat - Prefer sword and bow but echoes can be silly fun.
Music - decent, just not OoT, MM, WW level good
Dungeons - Better than Totk but still on the weaker end of the series.
Ranking - In an S-F ranking tier list, a solid A on my book. Not the best of the best, but enjoyable with lots to discover. Dungeons may lower it to a B, but everything else is so charming I can't help but love it.

I got an anon ask but since it is kinda vaguely spoiler-y for Echoes of Wisdom, I will answer is below:
I know you weren't happy with TotK because of its pretty bad story and lore, but from what i have seen, EoW more then makes up for it as it actually respects the past lore and even has both the Trifroce and Golden Goddess back
I've heard! I am very excited. I just got my copy today, and have played the first 10 minutes or so. Super cute! I am feeling hopeful so far and cannot wait to see where it goes!
The names are already funny btw. Loving this.

Now I know why they announced R!Dimitri.
They were about to announce all the skills he would want from E!Sigurd!

I am surprised Dimitri didn't get Hel or Askr as a region resplendent.
Oh well, he and Ephraim can enjoy their toes being free together.
Guess time! Fairy Edelgard, and Nidavellir Claude.

I just can't believe my luck. The first 3H Resplendent got to be Dimitri?
I don't know what deity I pleased recently but I bow to you, mighty one, for this kingly gift.

It's been 5 years. And today, I saw a post on the FE TH subreddit that said Dimitri and Claude owe their successes and their goals to Edelgard.
I think the biggest mistake you made was looking at the FE TH subreddit especially when that place tends to be filled with ignorant takes like that lol.
Well, I didn't go looking for it! It appeared on my feed!
I'm innocent!

This banner is tempting.... fodder for Dimitri. And maybe a special shut down?
But I want to save for a future Dimitri. :(
What do....

Unironically.
And then, someone else followed up with a second post asking how could Dimitri and Claude have found success with the obstacles in their way without Edelgard being there?!
